We are looking for a Locum General Practitioner to cover a locum assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at RAF Leeming Medical Centre, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.

This is a locum role (40 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel.

Job Description – Service Requirements:
• Undertake Primary Healthcare (PHC) clinics for Military and entitled personnel.
• Examinations and Occupational Health (OH) fitness for work assessments within the locum doctor’s scope of experience and qualification.
• To inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a serviceperson’s ability to undertake their duties.
• To complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department.

• Must be in date and able to provide certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to and including Level 3 training.

• The incumbent works with Veterans who are experiencing a wide range of complicated medical, psychiatric, emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial problems.
• Completes thorough psychosocial assessments to determine the psychosocial functioning and needs of Veterans and/or their families. • Completes clinical documentation according to MHSL and healthcare center standards. Documentation is clinically appropriate and thorough, and demonstrates the components of treatment considered the standard of care.
• Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing with people from varied backgrounds.
