Duties and Responsibilities

·To clean and prepare all areas for which you are responsible for following the required policies and procedures, ensuring that the location is clean, pleasant, and safe for customers.
·Supporting the clean teams on various sites by way of covering sickness, holidays, some general knowledge of checking over machinery and having the ability to check and audit the cleaning under the instruction of the Area Manager.
·To be responsible for cleaning areas as allocated by the Cleaning Supervisor/Area Manager/ Site Manager (this may vary from time to time).
·To use cleaning materials as instructed by the Cleaning Supervisor/Area Manager/Site Manager.
·To vacuum all carpeted areas and to wash or mop the floors of toilets in designated areas (machine clean where necessary).
·To sweep all the uncarpeted floors thoroughly.
·To empty and clean bins and remove waste to designated areas.
·To spot-clean spillages.
·To dust and wash surfaces carefully each day with clean dusters/cloths, including desks, seats, ledges, skirting boards and other places where dust settles.
·To regularly clean toilets and hand basins and to replenish necessary toiletries including toilet paper and hand soap etc.
·To wash off dirty marks from wall tiling and mirrors.
·On occasions to carry out periodic cleaning of all internal surfaces and windows, including internal doors.
·Report all defects/hazards immediately to Cleaning Supervisor/Area Manager/Site Manager.
·To comply with COSHH, Manual Handling, Risk Assessment, Colour Coding and any other Cleaning Policies in the Academy and relevant sites.

Summary of Duties:

Service and maintenance of air con appliances within both commercial and domestic properties.

Air conditioning/electrical fault finding experience within both commercial and domestic properties.

Main Duties:

Attend service and reactive breakdowns to fault find, diagnose and repair in a timely and cost effective manner.

Using knowledge and air conditioning fault finding experience to provide high levels first time fix and customer care.

To carry out the day to day responsive maintenance, service and repairs as instructed

To carry out servicing and safety checks on all air con systems

To make immediate decisions as regards the repair requirements should the original job order not reflect the actual works required and to inform the relevant director

To inform the customer (with reason) when it is not possible to complete a repair within the first visit and make mutually agreed arrangements to return to complete and inform the relevant director

Direct helpers engaged in assembly or installation of air con systems or components.

Liaise with management and or client to ensure all works are completed.

Ensure that all works and repairs are completed safely and in accordance with current codes and practices.

Abide by all client rules and regulations whilst on site (copy available upon request)

Ensure when purchasing materials, a 'best value and cost effective approach' is sought

To make sure that all training required to carry out the role is maintained and kept up to date.

To accurately complete all relevant documentation associated with the duties and ensure the prompt return to the office of all relevant information in relation to the daily tasks.

Where a Company vehicle is provided, ensure that it is used in accordance with the Company's current policies and procedures

Ensure that all company property, i.e. motor vehicle, uniform, tools etc… are operated safely, kept clean and in good order and tested when required to maintain the safe working of all heating systems

Actively take a proactive approach in finding and quoting additional works, should it be required.

Carry out site audits, vehicle audits, post work inspections, quotations and engineers meetings

Adhere to the Company policies and procedures, handbook and Health & Safety.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Essential:

• Recognised air conditioning apprenticeship and Commercial experience Air conditioning experience within the commercial sector e.g, fault finding, service, repair and maintenance on air condition installations and appliances.
• Working knowledge of test equipment including an electrical multi-meter
• Flexible approach:

due to travel aspect, this is a mobile position that will involve travelling to multiple sites across the West & East Midlands as well as some wider travel as required.

due to customer demands, the ability to work additional hours over and above contracted hours if and when required, where overtime would be payable.

• Be part of the emergency call out team on a rota basis
• To promote a positive and professional attitude to all customers and staff.
