ABOUT THE ROLEAs Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead of a Barchester care home, you'll support the delivery of the quality care we're known for. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important too, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We'll also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. Location: Barnsley - S73 area
Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (occasional overtime may be required)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Caretaker to manage the general upkeep and maintenance of our site in Barnsley. This role involves various site management duties, including litter picking, planned and reactive maintenance, and ensuring a clean, safe, and functional environment for all. The role requires occasional overtime to meet contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• General site management, including daily litter picking and maintaining clean grounds
• Conducting planned and reactive building maintenance
• Supporting the safety and smooth operation of the facility

Skills & Experience Required:

• Essential:

• Previous experience in a trade or similar role
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
• Ability to take initiative and solve problems proactively

Desirable:

• Health & Safety experience, particularly in manual handling and working at height
• Understanding of COSHH guidelines

Your role:



A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a General Operative to join our Reconditioned team at our Bathgate site.



This role will be responsible for safely and accurately sorting, repairing and manufacturing pallets in a timely manner, using the
tools and equipment provided, ensuring that you work at your optimum level to maximise your output and quality of the products in
line with the required specification.



You will be responsible for working effectively to ensure that workstations are set up to be efficient, a continuous high level of
output is maintained during each shift and to ensure your tools & equipment are safe to use at all times by completing all
relevant checks and reporting any defects. You will undertake all tasks that are delegated to you by Supervisors and Managers on
site.



You will play a key part in the team to adhere to our Health and Safety Procedures and Policies to maintain the required high
safety standards, which includes wearing your Personal Protective Equipment when stipulated. You will act as a key member of the
Scott Pallets team and demonstrate the company values when dealing with all internal and external stakeholders. You must be
punctual and follow the company attendance procedure.



As a General Operative, you will work effectively with others, have excellent time keeping, be a team player and understand the
wider site processes to support when able to do so. A can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail are key to success.
