As a General Accountant, your mission includes but is not limited to:

• Ensure all accounting activities of the company are recorded properly in compliance with US GAAP;

• Produce monthly, quarterly, and yearly separate and consolidated financial statements;
• Perform Accounts Payable and treasury functions as needed;
• Handle fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses and tax matters;
• Review and file all accounting and tax documents;
• Support audit initiatives and work closely with external auditors and tax;
• Partner with other departments to ensure proper accounting for transactions;
• Contribute to the efficiency of the accounting team by participating in cross-training, sharing job responsibilities, and serving as position backup for other team members;
• Develop and document business processes and accounting procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
• Assist with system implementation projects and ad hoc requests.

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance is required; ACCA preferred;
• Strong technical accounting background and US GAAP knowledge are required (preferred working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition);
• Proven 4-5 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in a global context or experience working in a startup, scale-up or tech company;
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, international accounting standards, and best practices in global operations;
• Proficiency in English is required;
• Proficiency in using Excel is required, and experience with NetSuite is highly desirable;
