ROLE SUMMARY
HCP Innovation Lead is an opportunity to innovate brand marketing and go-to-market models to extend competitive advantage and achieve our aspiration to be the best marketers of science and technology and to make Pfizer the most trusted brand.
This is a new role within Biopharma, reporting into the Global Commercial Innovation Lead. Success in this role will include the successful scaling of proven disruptive innovation to achieve our aspiration to be the best marketers of science and technology and to make Pfizer the most trusted brand.
In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging core innovation principles to elevate the level of engagement with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs). Your primary focus will be on driving marketing innovation initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and impact of our Customer Facing Colleagues (CFCs)
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a comprehensive HCP innovation strategy to develop and build a portfolio of products & solutions that improve HCP engagement.
- Oversee the overall product development cycle for these solutions, covering Strategy & Insights, Product Management, Product Marketing and Partnerships.
- Harness the power of data and analytics to identify and prioritize innovation, measure performance, and optimize decision-making. Use analytical frameworks to derive actionable insights and guide initiatives.
- Help elevate and fine-tune a structured innovation process that provides visibility to the portfolio, progress, funding needs and facilities idea generation across Biopharma.
- Biased towards successfully landing products and scale extensively. Implements innovation in pilot market, creating a plan to adapt to further markets and scale globally.
- Cultivate relationship and collaborate with brand and country leadership and local ecosystem stakeholders who can serve as potential innovation partners
- Serve as a thought leader in HCP / CFC engagement innovation, representing our organization at industry conferences, events, and forums.
- Foster strategic partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders, including HCPs, industry experts, and technology vendors, to drive innovation and stay at the forefront of industry trends.
- Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams that include agencies, Analytics, CX, and internal digital teams in the development and delivery of prototypes and scalable solutions.
- Build, manage and develop a cross functional team of exceptional talent fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Act as a key enabler in building a strong culture and driving the CMOs disruptive innovation agenda
Basic Qualifications
- Experience (15+ years) in positions of HCP and CFC innovation with proven track record, especially in product development roles covering conception through implementation
- Proven track record of driving transformative marketing innovation initiatives that have delivered measurable results and business impact.
- Deep curiosity about the most impactful customer and company problems-to-solve
- Willingness to experiment, and comfortable creating a ‘fail fast, learn fast’ culture
- Have courage to provide objective opinions, especially when evaluating go/no-go innovation decisions
- Ability to build close relationships with ecosystem leaders to drive innovative partnership opportunities
- Experience with piloting innovations in multiple geographies
- Bachelor's degree
- Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and HCP engagement strategies, marketing principles, and core innovation practices.
- Excellent analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage data to drive insights and decision-making.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving ambitious goals.
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Lead cross-functional and cross-business projects and initiatives, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable the teams to achieve successful delivery.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $205,400.00 to $342,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
