We are seeking an enthusiastic General Manager for Primary Care to join our established Primary Care services and be a part of a company that really makes a difference.
The General Manager for Primary Care is a senior management role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple primary care clinics within a specific region. This position will report to the Deputy Director of Primary Care.
Primary Care Practice Management experience is essential for this role
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of multiple primary care clinics within a specific region
- Overseeing the delivery of high-quality healthcare services, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the clinics or healthcare facilities operate smoothly and meet regulatory standards
- Responsible for managing budgets and financial resources for their practices, ensuring revenue is maximised, targets are achieved, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare organizations and stakeholders to ensure that the clinics provide high-quality healthcare services and meet the needs of the community.
- Work closely with the Deputy Director of Primary Care and Director of Primary Care or other senior leaders to develop and implement strategic plans for the practices
- Identify growth opportunities and potential obstacles and develop strategies to overcome them.
- Have a deep understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to healthcare, employment, and finance, ensuring that the clinics comply with these requirements to avoid legal or financial penalties.
- Ensure effective performance management and personal development of all non-clinical staff and clinical staff in conjunction with the Clinical Leads.
- Ensure all company policies are adhere to by all members of staff
You will be supported by, and work with, a diverse multi-skilled professional team of clinical and non-clinical friendly staff.

Role Requirements
- Primary Care Management experience is essential
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Experience of the NHS commissioning process.
- Experience of EMIS software, including in performing searches
- Strong networking skills, able to collaborate effectively with other healthcare organizations and stakeholders
- Able to influence, inspire, and effectively work with those around you
- High degree of report writing skills.
- Flexibility to travel to attend all sites on a regular basis.
