Objective:

Commercial responsibilities:

• Manage wages in line with productivity targets. Ensure projection is reviewed regularly, to allow accurate scheduling of hours. Ensure all workload and staff are effectively organised.
• Manage PR performance and take any necessary action to help improve.
• Ensure management hours are managed in line with budget.
• All overheads controlled by reviewing orders against budget, where applicable.
• Manage cleanliness standards in line with client expectations and customer feedback. Ensure that standards are achieved daily to ensure satisfaction from client.

Business responsibilities:

• All company systems actioned on time and adhered to.
• Quality staff recruited through use of company system and professional interviewing techniques and selection standards, to ensure head count maintained at all times.
• All staff professionally trained to meet the requirements of their job.
• Staff are briefed regularly on all key areas of performance.
• Communicate regularly with our clients and review feedback daily.
• Ensure all SLA’s are being delivered.
• Demonstrate initiative by using a problem solving approach to issues under your control.

Thorn Baker FM is working in collaboration with an established Cleaning company to source a Contracts Manager, to manage around 25 contracts in the Bristol/Bath area.   The company:

  The company are an established Cleaning company operating across the South and Southwest working with around 400 customers most of which have been long term relationships. They have been in business for over 25 years and have gone from strength to strength over that time , the company was founded buy the current Directors who started off as Cleaners within the business. Many of their managers have been with the company for over 10 years and have progressed their career through development and training which is something the company are heavily invested in.   The role:

  Reporting into the Operations Managers, you will be responsible for the site management and smooth running of around 25 customer sites in and around Bristol and Bath

  This will involve the ongoing management of approximately 40 - 60 part-time cleaning staff, the recruitment and training of new staff where required and carrying out regular quality audits with each customer. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleaning standards and customer and staff satisfaction is maintained through excellent customer service.

  Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring highest standards of cleanliness are maintained at all customer sites
  • Recruitment and management of cleaning staff
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Maintaining regular contact with site teams to ensure awareness of site-specific requirements
  • Planning, facilitating and monitoring ongoing training for site operatives
  • Providing feedback on performance and to take responsibility for managing issues that may arise
  • Ensuring sufficient amounts of cleaning equipment, materials and consumables on site
  • Ensuring customer sites are fully manned including absence and holiday cover
  • Submitting fortnightly pay-sheets, other administration such as holiday forms and carry out payroll tasks
  • Carrying out any other duties that are required as directed by the Operations Manager
  • Attending regular meetings with the Operations Manager and Operations Director
