You will oversee the team responsible for providing the revenues and benefits databases

You will be responsible for the monitoring, and the extraction and completion of all government returns for the Revenues & Benefit Service.

You are responsible for the Council’s statutory subsidy reporting requirements and to monitor and proactively manage expenditure, and safeguard and maximise housing benefit subsidy.

You will be responsible for the existing outsourced contract management, forming good working relationships with any third party appointed, and to assist in the completion of Government Returns, in monitoring performance in relation to expenditure for Revenues & Benefits.

This is a full time role on a Temporary basis.

Roles and responsibilities Maintain a high profile in the clinical area and be accessible to all staff. Develop and maintain communication channels, engaging all roles within the service and ensure regular updates are provided. To provide professional and operational support to the Midwifery clinical and management team in relation to Claims, Complaints, Clinical Risk and Governance initiatives and issues. Assist with the day to day maternity risk management process and strategy, Including the accurate reporting and validation of incidents onto the Datix electronic system and to ensure that the appropriate actions are taken in relation to any risks that are identified. To be responsible for ensuring incidents from the service are reported as appropriate, via the Datix reporting system. To co-ordinate, lead or delegate investigations and provide leadership and support for staff when serious incidents (SI) occur within maternity services. Contribute to the notification, and investigation using the PMRT role. To be able to support staff following traumatic cases. Risk register complete risk assessments, as required, and ensure that these are discussed at the appropriate forum and escalated appropriately. Work with external agencies such as HSIB, to ensure timely reporting, uploading of information and communication. Support the maternity clinical dashboard and ensure it is presented at the appropriate forums and externally to commissioners. Support the activities of the weekly Maternity Risk meeting and monthly Maternity Forum meetings. Be the first point of contact for PMRT for both professionals and families. Ensure the service remains with PMRT timescales, recommendations and service changes. Ensure staff are receiving training and are knowledgeable about PMRT and other external review bodies. Working with Quality and Safety Lead to take responsibility for co-ordination and completion of National and local Quality and Safety audits across the service in liaison with the governance team as required. Ensure learning and outcomes are disseminated across all areas. To act as a clinical role model promoting professional, competent standards, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team. Ensure all communication, which may be complex, contentious or sensitive, is undertaken in a responsive and inclusive manner, focusing on improvement and ways to move forward. Ensure all communication is presented appropriately to the different recipients, according to levels of understanding, type of communication being imparted and possible barriers such as language, culture, understanding or physical or mental health conditions.
