What You’ll Get to Do:
- Work with internal and external agencies and ensure secure network access is available to C5ISR
- Oversee the implementation of software patches to maintain the security posture of the organization
- Train users in the appropriate use of IT assets and awareness of current threats, attack methodologies, and reporting procedures for suspected incidents or abnormal behavior.
More About the Role:
- Responsible for continuous security awareness program, which increased the security culture of the organization and reduced overall risk
- Serve as the liaison between the contract and the government for all Information Security endeavors to include Risk Management Framework Assessment and Authorization tasks, Continuous Monitoring, and government IT connection and application issues
- Establish and tested enterprise Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans and procedures to ensure that business operations remain functional in cases of emergency
- Ensure the solution maintains the Authority To Operate (ATO) under OPM, for a FIPS 199 High system
- Manages security systems, and analyzes potential threats and vulnerabilities to client systems.
- Develops new computer and network security systems, including both hardware and software.
- Oversees technical incident response and remediation activities for client environments.
- Provides expert level security analysis and consultation services for product, system and network architecture designs.
- Analyzes complex network traffic and alerts to assess, prioritize and differentiate between potential intrusion attempts and false alarms.
- Publishes reports and keeps metrics for client systems.
- Conducts system audits to ensure specified system information is secure from individuals not accessed to the computer systems.
- Defines and resolves 'information ownership' issues and identifies levels of access to the systems user population.
- Launches and tracks investigations to resolution.
- Analyzes and reviews security findings and data.
- Identifies trends and root causes of system failures or vulnerabilities.
- Develops tools for operational use and analyzes current threats to information security and systems.
- Ensures that the Information Systems Security department's policies, procedures, and practices as well as other systems user groups are in compliance.
- Ensures that the physical environment of the computers and their terminals are properly secured.
- Conducts user training to ensure systems security and improve main frame efficiency
- Conducts structured walk-throughs to ensure integrity of system applications.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Requires current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance (with CI Poly preferred)
- Experience supporting IT environments utilizing large enterprise/products, including Cisco, Windows Active Directory, Windows Servers, SCCM, MS-SQL, etc
- Experience with software patch activity and managing security in a Microsoft environment
- The position will require the ability to use data, analyze it to understand trends, then recommend and implement different courses of actions to ultimately improve processes and produce desired results
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and minimum of 5 years of experience.
