Due to an increased workload and a strong pipeline of work, my client is looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Officer to join their team to support with contract administration and contract management.
This role is for a 3 year fixed-term contract, with a possibility of a permanent role thereafter.
Your new role
The Contracts Officer will be responsible for managing the performance of a number of key contracts across the IT team. Working closely with the procurement team, you will ensure that the performance of all IT contracts is monitored closely and that sufficient KPI and SLA tracking systems are in place. You will work closely with suppliers and manage these business critical relationships, which will involve arranging and attending supplier meetings and representing the organisation.
As the Contracts Officer, you will also manage software licence renewals with stakeholders to ensure that licencing requirements are met. In this role, you will manage and update the contracts database to ensure data accuracy.
You will also support tendering activities such as preparing documentation and liaising with the relevant stakeholders. The Contract Officer will work with key stakeholders on ITTs, SQ completions and tender evaluations.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a contract officer / contract management role, ideally gained within the public sector, although private sector backgrounds will also be considered
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of contract policy, process and procedures
- Experience of managing contract performance
- Ideally, you will be CIPS qualified
