Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
Procurement
· Support Operations manager (Procurement and Inventory) for purchasing and rental of any external resources, services, and facilities required to support the projects or operations for the efficiency and cost, including:
· Create purchase orders for various categories of purchasing
· Nurture positive relationship with suppliers for optimum pricing and support
· Prepare regular reports on Procurement activity
· Follow Company’s policies and procedures and suggest improvements as required
· Learn about other functions of Operations Department including Repair, Preparation of Packing List, Equipment Planning and booking, and Logistics
· Support Operations Department in peak periods or when necessary with other functions including Repair, Preparation of Packing List, Equipment Planning and booking, and Logistics
Repair Processing
· Receive and respond to Equipment Fault Report coming from engineering team;
· Act on processing any Equipment “Fault Report” as soon as it is received in order to
minimize equipment down time;
· Complete the Fault Report form for each repair case; communicate with the person who reports the fault in case of incomplete information or for further clarification;
· Start and follow up the communication with manufacturers in order to obtain the repair quotation for all faults reported;
· Communicate with senior engineers for any technical question or assistance for processing the repair;
· Coordinate the faulty item send/receive with the manufacture/service centre;
· Continually monitor all equipment on repair, and update their status in the database;
· Keep the Operations Manager informed about all repair cases and provide him/her with all necessary information when a repair decision must be made;
· Ensure repair work is completed timely, accurately and within required parameters;
· Maximise all opportunities to decrease the cost of repair while not increasing equipment down-time;
· Assist dispatcher by providing necessary documents when local drop-off or pick-up is required;
· Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments;
· Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Position Requirements:
· Preferably degree or diploma specializing in supply chain management/ procurement/ business studies/ accountancy
· Minimum 1 year work experience in procurement, inventory control or related positions
· Experience with large data sets
· Understanding of inventory management concepts and purchasing standards
· Proficient in computer database systems, extra plus with inventory management systems
