Our client are looking for a Transport Supervisor to join their already successful team, based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. The role is Monday-Friday on rotating shifts, and you must be able to work all three shift patters listed above. You will report in to the contracts manager. **Scope and Purpose of the Role:**
Manage and support an effective operational process, which ensures accurate integrity of customer/suppliers stock and data input. Also ensuring that all operational processes and compliances are adhered to.
This role will ensure that all legislative and regulatory requirements are upheld and the highest standards of health and safety maintained at all times.
**Key Duties and Accountabilities - Including but not limited to:**
* Establish, monitor and maintain agreed performance levels for all warehouse and transport activity
* Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
* Coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary
* Strong system control, ensuring adjustments are fully understood and reported
* Ensure efficient flow of stock throughout the site
* Ensuring efficient and effective delivery and implementation of all aspects of Clients operational requirements
* Maintenance and management of WMS
* Organising Training acitivities/scheduling
* HACCP awareness
* BRC awareness
* Effectively controlling goods in and goods out
* Quality control
* Unloading and loading of vehicles
* Maintain a safe working environment which complies with all aspects of the company H&S procedures
* Monitor agreed performance levels for all warehouse and transport related activity
* Promoting an effective working environment building a diverse, well-balanced team
* Ensure all environmental control measures are in place and are effective
* Work closely with the site, customer and supplier stock teams ensuring clarity and consistency in all we do
* Strong system control, ensuring adjustments are fully understood and reported
* Communicate effectively with all departments on site
* Support transport operation when required
* Collation of warehouse weekly profit and loss
* Attend monthly reviews with customers
* Be responsible for maintaining all relevant compliance systems
* Control the tank wash operation
**Key Experience and Qualifications:**
* A professional manner
* Supervisor/Man Management
* Good computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel)
* MHE - Articulated/Countebalance/PPT Licences advantageous
**Technical Skills and Behavioural Competencies:**
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Good written and spoken communication skills
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Good 'people skills' for working with a range of colleagues and customers
* The ability to lead and motivate a team
