Laboratory Technician (Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics)

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in the following areas:

- Preparation of laboratory materials, hand tools, and components for lessons and examinations

- Troubleshoot and maintenance of laboratory tools and instruments

- Management of laboratory space for student projects, project equipment, materials, and storage

- Assist in managing activities in the laboratories and ensure safety procedures are observed

Technical/Functional Responsibilities:

• Prepare & issue Instrument Basis of Design, Project Specification for DCS, SIS, FGS, MMS and PLC systems and Instrumentation required for Packaged Equipment’s
• Prepare, Review and approve Instrument data sheets such as Control valve, On-Off Valves, Safety Relief Valves & other field instruments etc. Verify the calculations for the orifice plate bore, Control Valve Cv, and PSV’s, etc.
• Prepare, Review & approve Cause & Effect diagram and Logic diagrams. Review and approve all the vendor documents for DCS, SIS, FGS, MMS, PLC systems, Instruments and also for Mechanical Packaged equipment’s.
• Prepare and issue Material / Technical Requisition for all instruments, carry out Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor Documents Review & approval.

Qualifications - Internal

Summary:

The facilities supervisor plays a key role to implement the company’s Facilities, Maintenance and Security Programs at the Capricorn commercial office. This position will anticipate, plan, budget, and schedule facilities programs, lead and implement site renovations, layout updates, maintenance/repair of site infrastructure and mechanical, electrical & plumbing (MEP) systems, as well as closely partner across functions with our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) teams to ensure safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability efforts. • Operation of the machines and process to ensure non-stop operation of the production line. Including regular input of raw materials to the fully automated line.
• Normal operation and monitoring of the machines to ensure that the output is of the required quality and quantity as well as to perform troubleshooting and repair whenever there is machine down so as to ensure minimum machine downtime is incurred.
• To perform target change, head calibration and to ensure proper procedure is carried out. For any major trouble, a written report is to be submitted to the supervisor regarding the nature of that trouble.
• Sample taking, measurement and writing of control charts/ checklists. To perform the conditioning of the machines if the measurement shows irregular trend and out-of specs occur.
• Carry out 5S and machine cleaning regularly to keep a high level of cleanroom cleanliness.
