We have several ongoing temporary roles for Grounds Maintenance Operatives in the St Austell area. As Grounds Maintenance Operatives you will undertake such tasks as strimming, hard and soft landscaping, grass cutting, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance and more.

For this role a CSCS card is a requirement and so we are going to be running a CSCS course. The cost of the course is £165 which includes the CSCS card. The cost of the course will be refunded upon completion of two complete 40 hour weeks in the first month of your employment.

Your new role
We are looking for Civil Engineering Technician (x2) to join the Highways & Coastal - Project Delivery team on a full-time and permanent basis. This contract is offered on a hybrid basis which is a combination of attending the office, working from home and regular site visits (as and when required). To be successful in this role, the ability to use a variety of IT packages to undertake surveys, designs and other technical assessments including AutoCAD, Civils 3D/MX or similar and InfoDrainage is essential. Previous experience of assisting assistant engineers, engineers and senior engineers with the management of resources such as time, financial, contract and project management is essential. Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships is crucial for this role. It is essential that you can provide timely and accurate advice to senior leaders/members/local councillors and the public on all highway, flooding and coastal related matters.

The College is developing in a transformational way, and we are seeking a Facilities Manager to play a vital role in our Journey.
We are looking for a hands-on, motivated and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring smooth delivery of daily operations across the estate. In this position, you will lead and support the grounds and maintenance team and also implement and drive the College’s PPM programme ensuring compliance with statutory obligations across the estate. You will also be responsible for the computer aided facilities management system, asset management system and statutory obligation dashboard.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, strong contract and asset management experience and an understanding of statutory compliance mapping and reporting. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively. Previous experience of managing and delivering facilities management across a multi-site estate is essential, along with a commitment to providing a high-quality end user experience to students and staff.

Working as part of a team in the estates department looking after the electrical services. You may be asked from time to time to cover duties on our other sites , such as SACH ,HHH. And clinics. You will be required to cover out of hour duties as part of the on-call rota reporting to the on-call manager. At times you may be required to cover supervisory duties.
