My renewable energy client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer (Commercial Gas) to join their team, on a permanent staff basis, where you will be responsible for delivering operation and maintenance services across their fleet of heat networks.

Working under/with their Lead Commercial Engineer to learn and develop while delivering value to their Operations Department you role will also involve, but not be limited to:

• Completion of planned preventative maintenance activities in line with company maintenance schedules (commercial gas boilers, pumps, actuators, plate heat exchangers, pressurisation units, degassers)
• Repair and reinstatement of commercial plant (as per above)
• Completion of fault finding and repairs to commercial gas boilers and other equipment including pumps and pipework
• Attend reactive call-outs to sites to reinstate heat and resolve plant failures
• Take part in an on-call rota and attend call outs (typically 1 week in 4)
• Review root causes for plant failure (resolve operational issues which arise)
• Management of site-based project work and development of the scope of works for plant remediation.

You should demonstrate the following:

• 1-3 years of experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer or in a similar capacity
• Commercial gas registration, Testing & Purging Training Course (TPCP1) & Gas Booster (BMP1) required
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification, preferred.

You will keep accurate records reporting and recording maintenance via the site CMMS (SAP), escalating any maintenance issues where necessary. As a team, you will drive maintenance continuous improvement via preventative maintenance activities, equipment checks and repairs.

What you'll need to succeed
You will hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, have experienced gained within a manufacturing environment, experience of working with automation, PLCs, fault-finding and diagnostics, experience of CMMS systems, (Ideally SAP) root cause analysis, preventative/planned maintenance optimisation.
