Maintenance Technician Corsham, SN13 9NP Permanent, Full Time, 39 hours (8am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 8am-4pm Friday)

Serco have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join the FM team at our SDW contract in Corsham. As the Maintenace Technician, you will assist in maintenance, repair, and replacement of FM controlled assets within their skill set. They will be competent with both mechanical, Hot and Cold-water systems, drainage systems.
The role will also host and sign off works carried out through Serco approved sub-contractors.
The Maintenance Technician will work at both SGS Colerne and MOC Hawthorn sites, (approx 10 Miles apart) but may be requested to work on other site within the Skynet-SDW contract as deemed necessary by the FM Site Manager (West). A fleet vehicle will be available when traveling between sites.
The role will be required to be part of the on “on Call” rota, where an additional monthly allowance will be paid. Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Support the site FM Manager with the maintenance operations on Mechanical, Hot and Cold-water services, plumbing equipment, plant, and installations using the CAFM planned system (Agility) as a support tool.
- Support the Site FM Manager & Building services Engineers (BSE) in the management of Sub-contracted planned and reactive maintenance.
- Act as point of contact and attend site as required, as part of the FM (West) on-call rota (once suitably trained/experienced).
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks on plant and installations within skill set.
- Support the Site FM Manager with the management of L8
- Support the Site FM Manager with the management of Health & Safety to ensure compliance of all activities under FM control.
- Support the BSE with the review of sub-contractor reports with regards to planned and reactive works completed.
- Complete basic level of maintenance to fire detection system, access control systems and CCTV installations.
- Obtain quotations for works as requested in line with company procedures.
- Complete statutory inspection within guidance.
- Complete works in line with ACOP L8
- Complete meter readings
- Become appointed First Aider and Fire warden within areas of responsibility as delegated by the Site FM Manager.
- To be responsible for own Health & Safety and that of others
- Complete any reasonable task as requested by the FM Manager
What you’ll need to do the role:
- NVQ Level 3 plumbing qualification (or equivalent)
- City & Guilds qualification ACOP L8/HSG274 (or equivalent)
- Engineering qualification to BTEC National Diploma or City and Guilds
- Asbestos Awareness Training.
- Legionella Training.
- First Aid at Work (Training will be provided if not held).
- Accredited Health and Safety Qualification.
- IPAF 3A/B licence (Desirable – training will be provided if not held).
- PASMA qualification (Desirable – training will be provided if not held).
- Must be able to gain SC security clearance.
- Hold valid driving licence for Car/Van.
- A good level of IT and MS Office skills.
