SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES 

Planning, developing, preparing, reviewing, coordinating and monitoring maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with operation & maintenance manual standards by proper deployment and supervision of the maintenance works.

 

Ensure compliance with regulations, related to the Environmental Quality Act, Safety and Health Act, and management system standards, while ensuring that the QESH achieves its intended results by incorporating a process approach, risk-based thinking, and implementing improvements to enhance performance.

 

KEY TASK

1. Responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance and improvement of all mechanical and electrical installations, transformers, Compact Subs and Consumer Sub-stations.
2. Troubleshoot problems in a timely and effective manner.
3. To monitor any contractor or 3^rd party working along the ALR’s expressway. To check their permit, insurance and type of work. Shall report to superior if any non-compliance detected.
4. Work closely and provide support to other interdepartmental.
5. Provides relevant information and reports to immediate superior regularly: daily and weekly reports.
6. Monitor and record performances of tunnel critical assets (pumps, gates etc)
7. 24 hours on standby to attend breakdown or flood operations
8. Assist immediate superior in any other tasks or assignments as required.
9. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.
10. Undertake other duties as directed by the Head of Group Mechanical Electrical and Instrumentation.

 

Position Requirements

Qualification

Minimum of Certificate of Competency Category for A0 / A4 issued by the Energy Commission or a recognized qualification equivalent to it.

 

Experience

At least 2 years’ working experience in the Maintenance Field or 1 year in a similar field.

 

Specific skills/ abilities

Knowledge in handling Mechanical and Electrical Equipment

 

Personal qualities

Fast Learner and able to work under pressure. Able to work long hours and willing to work during public holiday.

Your new role

Your new job working as a Senior Broker Support Technician will be responsible for providing a quality technical service to Brokers covering all aspects of their insurance.
You will be responsible for the production of MRC slips and endorsements. You will also be responsible for working closely with Placing Brokers, Producing Brokers, colleagues and clients. The role will inched the analysis of data under existing Binding Authority Agreements. Dealing with Market statistics (PI / Earned to Incurred etc). Preparation of MRC slips and endorsements, as well as updating and maintaining monthly Earned to Incurred statistics. Compiling and maintaining risk level data for Binding Authority Agreements. Your previous experience working as a Technician dealing with Non Marine or Property risks emanating ideally from North America will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbally. Cross training to NA Property and Transportation will be offered

As our Academic Coach and Technician in Plumbing, you will provide academic and or technical training to students to support achievement within the technical qualification of their programme. Through classroom and or workshop training you will aim to develop, improve and consolidate learning.

We are looking for an experienced technician to join our team in the Isle of North Uist. As a Plant technician you will be responsible for operating, running and maintaining our state-of-the-art Rendering plant.

Who are we:

Our North Uist facility aims to ensure a full circle renewable process for the by-products of the fish farm industry. The plant recycles the by-product into oil used for bio diesel, condensate liquid for fertilisation of machair land, and MBM for combustion in our furnace and at other facilities. Now in the latter stages of commissioning we are looking to expand our team, specifically for someone to fill the exciting role of Plant Technician.

One of the responsibilities of technicians is to keep an eye on mechanical devices and control screens to make sure the plant is running effectively. They must also report problems and help the engineering team with routine maintenance and repairs.

An alternating shift pattern will be in place when the facility is operational with nightshifts allocated on a rotational basis, however, the role will be predominantly Monday-Friday.
