Working hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 6am - 12 noon.

As a Sample Registration Technician, you will complete the registration of water samples for a given method. You will also assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory.

Please note, no previous experience within laboratory is required, full training is provided. We are keen to receive applications from candidates who are willing to learn new skills and used to working within a fast paced environment.

Duties include:

Sorts through all sample deliveries and arranges samples in time order.
Match sample paperwork to the relevant samples.
Register samples into our IT system meeting the testing requirements provided by the customer.

Troubleshoot any issues related to sample registration.
Ensure accurate labelling, storage and disposal of samples takes place.
Ensure that sample registration is completed in a timely manner.
Work in line with our quality procedures to maintain accreditation.
Collaborate with other team members and show flexibility to help meet demand.
Work with the team to ensure that all waste generated is removed from the lab via the correct waste streams.
Undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior manager.

What you'll be doing;

• Salary: £29,244 or £32,618 per annum, depending on experience


• Door to door pay

You'll be responsible for ensuring clients sites within your area are fully maintained and operating at full potential.

As an Arcus Fabric Specialist, you'll enjoy working in a varied environment. You'll be out and about on the road traveling to client locations throughout your area, delivering a high level of repair works and rectifying any defects to ensure our clients receive a high-quality service.

You will assist in the delivery of excellent customer service resulting in professional results, asset uptime, first time fix and quality workmanship.

We need you to come with experience of working in a building fabric / maintenance role previously, and with the skills and expertise to confidently and independently, carry out as many of the below tasks as possible:

• Patch Plastering/Rendering


• Protection where required


• Carpentry works


• Various floor coverings


• Wall Tiling


• General Repair work


• Changing lights and locks

Whilst we don't need you to know it all, we do need you to have varied experience across a mix of the above trades. To be successful you will have:

Essential:

• Time served experience across a mix of multiple trades, ideally in a building fabric role.


• Valid UK driver's license


• Experience working within a customer facing environment


• Confident using handheld IT Equipment for managing works and documentation


• Strong communication skills and work ethic.


• Awareness and knowledge of health & safety.

Desirable:

• NVQ, City and Guilds, BTEC in a building trade


• Experience working within a maintenance remit for a multi-site retail client.

Other Information:

• The role will involve working 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday


• The role will also involve working 1 in 4 weeks on call
