About you and this role - What you will do in this role
This role provides electrical maintenance support for the ES/EVO facility and the site electrical systems. Utilizes electrical technical expertise to support the teams maintaining and repairing the electrical equipment in the facility and across the site. Works closely with technicians, Maintenance and Reliability Engineers, and Run Plant staff to ensure safe and reliable operation and maintenance of the electrical equipment.
This role requires significant technical knowledge in a broad range of electrical systems, including high voltage power generation and distribution. Assists in planning and prioritizing maintenance through planner, work coordinator and operations input. Completes hands on field repairs, commissioning, and installation of electrical equipment when required. This role acts as a mentor for team members with less experience.
Responsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role
- Enables the technicians who manage or perform work in the field with the electrical expertise, tools and information needed to perform their job effectively and efficiently.
- Complete complex problem solving, equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis for electrical equipment.
- Identify reliability improvements and equipment obsolescence opportunities, work with stakeholders to gain support and funding.
- Identify and implement Predictive maintenance activities for electrical equipment.
- Support spare parts identification and stocking.
- Ensures electrical work completed in ES/EVO aligns to global strategies, work processes and best practices.
- Participate on Technical Steering Teams.
Qualifications - Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)
- Electrical Journeyman certificate.
- 6 or more years experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in the Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
Preferred Skills - An expanded list of qualifications that are "nice to have", but not essential
- Electrical Technology Diploma.
- Five (5) or more years of petro-chemical maintenance experience.
- Five (5) or more years working with high voltage electrical systems.
