This new band 7 role will be responsible for the operational day-to-day running of the Medicines Management Team (MMT) in UHS. This team has been well-established for many years and supports the clinical pharmacy service to over 1400 patients. This will entail working with colleagues to develop the role of the medicines management service, to support the delivery of patient focused pharmaceutical care. As the Maintenance Technician you will…

• Respond to guests repair requests.
• Undertake basic repairs and maintenance tasks; Plumbing (e.g. fix/tighten loose taps or pipe); minimal joinery and carpentry (e.g. tighten draws or cupboard doors);painting/decorating.
• Be able to log and complete tasks as per our asset management system, Transcendent.
• Managing suppliers and contractors carrying out minor duties on site.
• PAT testing and inspections of emergency lighting, weekly fire alarm tests and fire evacuations.
• Ensure the gardens and grounds of the property are well maintained, clean, tidy and hazard free.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

A successful Maintenance Technician is someone who…

• Previous experience in hotel environment desirable, or as a general construction worker.
• Strong Communication skills & interpersonal skills

Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship - Southampton
• Achieve the best possible outcome through a person’s medicines by managing, ordering, receiving, maintaining and supplying medicines and other pharmaceutical products safely, legally and effectively, whilst meeting the regulatory standards.
• Provide person-centred health advice to all patients, whether on prescription or over the counter, and refer them to other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
• Support the management of the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy, such as clinical governance, business operation and processes, and supervise other pharmacy staff.
• Provide training to pharmacy and the wider healthcare teams, such as for new members of staff.
• Maintain a quality service through auditing and evaluating the service and processes, and respond to feedback.
• You will also gain a nationally recognised qualification at Level 3, equivalent to A level, which will enable you to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
