The Family and Adult Assistance Division (FAAD) is seeking a driven and passionate individual with a leadership mindset to become a Lead for the Neighborhood Resource Site (NRS) Team. The Lead Eligibility Technician will encourage, motivate, support and assist various Eligibility Specialists in accomplishing division processing and accuracy goals.
Specifically, as the NRS Lead Eligibility Technician you will:
Provide coverage for the supervisor as needed
Assist with maintaining daily operational standards at each of the NRS sites
Be adaptable and flexible with your work schedule; to provide site coverage as needed
Support Eligibility Specialists on their team and maintain a thorough and updated knowledge of all public assistance programs, including CBMS, SNAP, Medical Assistance, Adult Financial and/or Colorado Works programs
Interprets and explains rules and regulations to staff and provides assistance with managing team workloads and troubleshooting
Provides on-the-job training, mentors employees, and collaborates with the training unit on course content, materials, and claims review
Contributes to the development of the performance enhancement plan, documents performance, provides performance feedback, and furnishes information for the formal performance evaluation
Assists Eligibility specialists with processing and determinations of difficult and/or complex cases and acts as an arbitrator when problems occur between applicants/clients and employees
Assigns and distributes work, reviews work for accuracy and completeness, and returns assignments with recommendations for proper completion. Resolves problems encountered during daily operations and determines appropriate solutions
Monitors work activity on caseloads to ensure that cases are clearly and thoroughly documented, reviews, and analyzes case records and reports for completeness and accuracy, identifies compliance and production problems, and recommends and implements process improvements
Monthly review of NRS/CLT reports

Extensive Professional experience determining eligibility for Adult Financial Cash Assistance or Colorado Works programs
Demonstrate strong Leadership skills with a commitment to working with intention and sensitivity amongst a diverse demographic of coworkers and clientele
Experience Demonstrating adaptability as business needs evolve
Proven Professional Experience utilizing Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS)
Proven success in working in a fast-paced and evolving work environment, adhering to quick turnaround times, and executing accurate follow up and follow through
Develop and maintain positive working relationships while encouraging cooperation, pride and a commitment to teamwork

Education: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Experience: Three (3) years of experience determining eligibility for a variety of assistance programs including Colorado Works, Snap and Medical Assistance
Education & Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement
