Job Summary:
Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Repairs equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Performs at a seasoned journeyman level. Provides leadership for performance of routine maintenance repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to detect changes in dimensional requirements. Determines changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels and straight edges.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Lubricates and cleans parts, start devices to test for performance.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
- Identifying events and recording differences for physical maintenance scheduling
- Recording and storing maintenance information in written form as well as electronic form
- Drafting layouts and specifying technical devices, parts and equipment providing detailed instructions, drawings and specifications.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Education and/or Experience
Two year technical diploma; 5-7 years experience in building and equipment maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to identify and explain the use of special measuring devices; Use table weights and measurements; ability to use formulas to solve basic problems, including volume, circumference, right triangles using Pythagorean theorem.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to enter time and data into a computer system using basic computer knowledge.
Other Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record to allow for the use of company vehicle as needed.
- Forklift experience preferred

Target Pay: $24.00-28.00hr USD
Salary Range:
$41,800.00-$55,880.000
