Participate in procedures involving intensive engagement and care of individuals who are distressed and / or verbally or physically aggressive. Be able to recognise signs of abuse and know procedures they need to follow to escalate their concerns. Provide regular and practical support to individuals and their carers on safety and security matters To maintain the dignity and well-being of individuals and their carers at all times. Escorting individuals under direction of Nurse-in-Charge. Participating in ward / team Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and discussions as and when required. As required keep accurate records of interventions provided as indentified in patient care plans as directed by the Nurse-in-Charge and ensure all entries are validated on the electronic records system. Promptly report any difficulties encountered whilst implementing agreed care plans to the Nurse-in-Charge, and be able to report both verbally and in written form against progress of care plans. Fitness to Practice and to Undertake Job Role The post holder should ensure their fitness to undertake the post they should be able to demonstrate they are able to undertake the level of general training and personal safety training appropriate to their role and work area, and keep this training up-to-date. If the ability to perform Physical Intervention Techniques or Prevention of Violence, Management is a requirement of the role, the post holder must declare physical fitness to undertake such a role. The post holder should act quickly to protect the safety of individuals if they have reason to believe that they or a colleague may not be fit to undertake the duties within their job role. Remote working

An experienced civil litigation lawyer to assist our busy team with a varied caseload including property litigation, highways and general civil litigation (including debt recovery and judicial review proceedings). There will be an expectation of some supervision to junior members of the team.

Candidates with previous Local Government experience will be essential as this is a fast paced role and will require the successful candidate to take on an immediate and complex caseload.

Key responsibilities:

Oversee and manage a caseload in an area of law allocated.
Respond to requests for advice, representation etc, from the Council employees.
Manage all aspects of court representation as required.
Advise and/or present to courts, meetings, members at formal appeal hearings or as required by the County Solicitor
Assume a lead role in advising clients on specialist aspects of law and practice as required and to organise/participate in training events as appropriate and/or necessary.
Determine appeals under the Internal Dispute Resolution Procedure of the Local Government Pension Scheme and various internal appeal procedures if required.
Take part in the Legal Services’ Out of Hours service to provide assistance

Qualifications:

Educated to degree level;
Law Society admitted and Solicitor Regulatory Authority registered solicitor, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives or Bar Standards Board registered barrister

Knowledge:

A thorough knowledge of that area of law, good advocacy skills and considerable experience in case management is essential along with demonstrable experience of working in a particular field

Adequate experience of managing own workload

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication and presentational skills both verbal and written including influencing and persuasion;
Excellent ICT skills and a degree of administrative self-sufficiency although some secretarial support will be provided.
Ability to absorb and interpret legislation, case law and procedures;
Ability to assimilate facts and present these in a coherent fashion in order to facilitate desired results. It is important to note the impact of incorrect advice and poor advocacy could be financially very significant

The Senior Incident Manager role is a great opportunity to work within the CSOU leading on the management of serious and complex cyber security investigations.

You should understand the volatility of data, the importance of continuity of evidence and digital forensics.
• Manage Serious and Complex Cyber Security Investigations.

• Write detailed investigation reports.
• Gather and manage large volumes of information from a variety of sources during an investigation.
• Support Incident Managers and Juniors Incident Managers with their investigations.
• Act as a second-tier escalation point for analysts within the CSOU.
• Manage and resolve more complex enquiries.
• Manage Cyber Incident Response teams that are deployed during a cyber security incident.
• Create strategies for digital forensics investigators.
• Run and chair blended calls during a Cyber Security Incident, ensuring they are structured and effective.
• Ensure standards by reviewing security tickets created by analysts and Incident Managers within the CSOU.
• Deliver cyber security and Incident Management presentations to a diverse audience.
• Write articles and share information that can help educate the wider systems on current and emerging cyber security threats.
