The role involves an intensive firearms training schedule which is planned throughout the year.

In addition, your role, as an AFO you may be required to be additionally selected and trained for specialist firearms roles which include Mobile Armed Support To Surveillance, rifle team, close protection, instructor and protected armed convoy operatives. Officers are also required to provide a Taser response to appropriate incidents. Whilst not engaged in specific firearms duties or tasks, AFOs will assist with response policing plus road crime / road policing incidents, taskings and initiatives, for which you will undergo pursuit training. This may include initial attendance at and investigation of fatal / serious road traffic collisions. In addition, to ensure operational effectiveness is always maintained an element of flexibility is required and on occasions officers may be required to work extended shifts.

Your new role

Due to our continued success, we are recruiting for a Civil Enforcement Officer. Within this role you will be patrolling public streets and car parks, advising the public of where they can park safely and securely, issuing tickets to incorrectly parked vehicles, reporting suspected abandoned vehicles, and dealing with enquiries from the members of the public.
