As an Evidential Property Officer, you will ensure the accurate recording, safe keeping, production and retention of property (Evidential and Found) whilst in Police custody, such as computers, mobiles, drugs, firearms and cash etc. You will also maintain and supervise property records on the property management system, ensuring compliance with force policy and procedures, and eventually ensuring correct disposal as per force policy and procedures.

Previous experience working within a customer-oriented field is key, as you will deal with public and police officer/staff general enquiries relating to all property matters. You will provide advice on all property associated issues in accordance with force policy and procedures.

You will interrogate multiple force computer systems and check against Property management System records and property to ensure correct recordings of information, updating new information and dealing with retention/disposal in accordance with Humberside Police policy and procedures.

As an Evidential Property Officer, you will check and quality control Forensic Submission and Digital Forensic submission forms submitted by officers. You will supervise the collection of items for forensic examination by courier, and receive forensic samples returned by Courier after examination, ensuring each item is added to the correct evidential property record and OIC’s are notified as per force property office policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately and correctly recording, safely storing, and disposing of Evidential and Found property in accordance with policy and procedures and consideration of Health & Safety requirements Criminal Procedure Investigations Act (CPIA) Regs, PACE and WEE Regs.
• Accurately recording and transferring Section 1 firearms and shotguns in accordance with firearms licensing department requirements.
• Deals with External Agencies, for Auction and Charities disposals, preparing detailed spreadsheets itemising all items for receipt and signature.
• Undertaking of duties in an efficient, conscientious manner, for maintaining exceptional accuracy and for meeting pre-determined deadlines.
• Deals with the Public, Police Officers and Police Staff general enquiries relating to all property matters. Provides advice on all evidential property associated issues in accordance with force policy and procedures.

Conveyancer / Legal Executive (New Build) - Yorkshire

Location: North, South or West Yorkshire

Salary: Very Competitive (DOE)

An opportunity has arisen for Conveyancer / Legal Executive with 2+ years of experience to join a well-established legal firm, providing a comprehensive range of legal services for individuals and businesses alike.

In this role, you will manage client matters from initial instructions to completion and archiving, adhering to office and account procedures.

You will be responsible for:

- Provide advice based on client instructions and prepare necessary documentation.

- Process billing and secure payments due from clients and other parties.

- Occasionally supervise and guide other team members.

- Stay updated with legal knowledge and conveyancing skills.

What we are looking for:

- Previously worked as a Conveyancer, Legal Executive or in a similar role.

- Possess 2+ years' experience.

- Experience in handling freehold and leasehold transactions with minimal supervision.

- Comprehensive understanding of technical conveyancing processes.

- Knowledge of the Solicitors Code of Conduct.

- Skilled in Windows, Word, and Excel.
