Job Overview

Georgetown University is seeking an MDI System Administrator to help continue to develop and support the Massive Data Institute (MDI) infrastructure.  Their primary role setting up and maintaining big data infrastructure components on Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure; setting up and managing accounts; and helping MDI faculty run analyzes on these systems.

We will also create an on-campus GPU cluster that the Administrator will maintain.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Administering systems and applications, big data environment, and systems built on cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS and Google
• Developing on-campus GPU compute facility
• Evaluating system problems of workflow, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action
• Assist in the formulation of technical strategies and processes for administered systems

Work Interactions

The MDI System Administrator supports use of MDI computing facilities for faculty across campus interested in using MDI’s computing infrastructure for interdisciplinary research.

Reporting to the MDI Director, they work with the new hire to maintain and extend the infrastructure, assuring they learn all of our existing protocols and work with faculty and graduate students to help them use the MDI computing environment. Currently, more than 30 faculty use the infrastructure.

As well, the Administrator supports the overall research mission of the university.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline – preference degree in an applicable system or an equivalent combination of education and technical certifications or training work experience with RedHat, Linux, Hadoop, and system administration
• At least 3 years of  system administration experience
• Experience with Linux and Unix operating systems and provisioning applications - Big Data environments such as Hadoop and Accumulo and provisioning software – preference for VMWare hypervisor environment and provisioning software
• Experience with Cloud Providers – such as Google, Azure, and AWS
• Experience with GPU system administration
• Experience with networking

Preferred qualification

Multiple System certifications in provisioning technologies  - such as Red Hat Certified, Linux+ or Security+

Job Description:

Summary of Position

The Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) assists clients with articulating personal goals for recovery; assisting participants in determining reasonable and holistic steps in recovery; and identifying barriers to recovery goals. A PRS will assist individuals in identifying personal strengths in daily living and recovery skills. In addition, a PRS will teach participants problem solving skills, how to identify and combat negative self-talk, how to build social supports, and how to self-advocate. PRS will intervene, coordinate and provide connection to care as directed by the clinical team. PRS will complete screens/assessments and evidence protocols as trained and supported through Centerstone.

Shift

This position will be a mobile role in the community as well as office based. Hours will be 4pm-12am Wed- Sun.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Verbalize understanding of what recovery means and articulate it to others.
• Assist clients with identifying personal strengths in daily living and recovery skills.
• Assist staff in identifying program elements that are supportive or barriers to recovery.
• Facilitate evidence based protocols, safety plans, complete screens and risk assessments as trained.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to partner with Centerstone programs and community partners.
• Coordinate and assist with crisis intervention/ connection to care.
• Coordinate referrals to inpatient, residential behavioral health/mental health/substance treatment.
• Transport clients to appointments and to access resources.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to meet communication requirements of certification. 
• Basic computer literacy is required.

Qualifications

Education Level

Must be 18 years of age or older, have lived experience receiving mental health, substance use or gambling treatment. High school diploma or equivalent.

Years of Experience

Minimum of one year of recovery.

Experience within the criminal justice system preferred.

Required Certification/Licensure

Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

PRS Certification is required. Must be able to verify completion of state-approved training program and passing score on certification exam, if not currently certified, must become certified within 90 days unless otherwise approved by the hiring manager.

Allegheny General Hospital is a level 1 trauma center and a comprehensive stroke center, with a new radiology department using the newest and top of the line equipment to preform minimally invasive procedures. This full time position is part of Union E and will rotate 10 hour shifts including on call responsibilities for weeknights, weekends and holidays.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Performs prescribed special procedures such as: interventional, diagnostic and therapeutic angiography and related special procedures.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Positions patients, selects anatomical and technical parameters accurately for independent imaging of special procedures per established protocol. Prepares for and assists the physician and/or physician assistant while performing procedures.(40%)
• Implements radiation protection and patient safety standards.(15%)
• Completes all required documentation for procedures e.g. regulatory, billing protocols and image distribution.(15%)

Minimum

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of PA at hire or sit for boards and obtain licensure within 120 days.

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Business or Health Care Management.

Develops and implements new/enhanced, and maintains existing, applications, architecture and solutions that meet current and future business/customer needs, with a drive to rationalization and modernized technology, which will streamline operations, drive out cost, improve customer experience and reduce regulatory, compliance, risk issues and operational defects. Partners with leaders to understand gaps, balance priorities, influence change, remove barriers and strengthen our technology. Client experience and growth continue to be at the core of the Wealth business transformation and strategy. In order to enable the business’ success, resiliency, digitization and simplification are key. To deliver on these goals, strong leadership will be required in the U.S. Wealth Technology portfolio.

Accountabilities:

• Leads a growing team of U.S. Wealth Technology professionals of roughly 150 people (44 FTE, others Contingent)

• Portfolio management of roughly 45 applications and 10MM of year over year work.

• Manages development teams that are accountable for on-time, on-budget delivery of quality solutions which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of applications to ensure and/or maintain alignment with IT strategies and adhering to standards.

• Strong focus on digitization of business processes to support BMO’s Digital First agenda

• This role is accountable for the business partner relationship with the senior executives within BMO U.S. Wealth

• Responsible for the overall technology planning and IT development spend, and ensuring achievement of business and T&O KPIs

Qualifications:

This job provides direct care to patients and assists with non-direct patient care unit coordination. Will work under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse in the care of the acutely ill and/or complex patient. The incumbent receives specific work assignments from the Charge Nurse and/or Care Team Leader which are both written & verbal and is expected to demonstrate evidence of efficient time management by completing the work within the scheduled time. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the incumbent is expected to perform a variety of duties related to the coordination of activities on the inpatient unit. This includes activities related to patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities such as: activities of daily living, skin survey, vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, intake and output, meal consumption, height and weight, blood glucose testing/monitoring, point of care testing, bladder scanning, transporting of patients and their medical record, documentation of O2, early mobilization and ambulation protocols, assistance with exam, treatments and procedures. Minimum

• Acute care experience with in the last 3 years
