They are looking for a System Safety Engineer to join an expanding team in the most exciting phase of the project. This is a long term permanent role and critical to the safety of the construction and running of this project.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for enabling the Phase One projects to ensure compliance with the Railways (Interoperability) Regulations and CSM-RA.
• Managing risk assessments for specific discipline areas, being able to self-sufficiently plan, run and write up risk workshops.
• Developing reports to be able to justify and explain safety assessment results within the organisation and to independent assessment bodies.
• Supporting the project wide Hazard Record, analysing hazards and compliance evidence to satisfy CSM-RA.
• Managing specific interfaces to the AsBo/NoBo, supporting contractors during independent assessments by the AsBo/ NoBo and supporting the flow of evidence to demonstrate CSM-RA compliance for the railway.

Our sites include St George’s Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).

After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, being a hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000-strong workforce.

1.To ensure the ongoing resilient delivery of pathology information management commitments by providing both application and operational support, working within their scope of competence.

2.To ensure operational integration across all IM&T applications in use across SWL Pathology.

3.To ensure data is managed according to statutory requirements such as the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts.

4.To support theHead of ITin ensuring that the Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and all other Pathology related applications in use across SWL Pathology remain fit for purpose and meet the needs of users in the clinical setting. This includes all laboratory and related information elements of the Trust Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and the many other ordering and results reporting systems that are integrated with the LIMS. This includes inter-operability with Point of Care Testing solutions).

5.To liaise and work with key service stakeholders including those at the partner Trusts and end users of the service including GPs and other third parties.

6.To provide day to day management of the SWL Pathology IM&T systems ensuring availability, integrity and responsiveness.

7.The post holder must be able to demonstrate proficiency and competence in all of the technical areas into which they input. In addition, they must be conversant with the technologies and methodologies specific to the various sections across all of Pathology.

8. The post holder must act as a technology champion; working with staff across all disciplines on embracing technological changes and ensuring these are implemented in a safe manner.

9. Considering current technologies, best practice and functional service requirements, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of the strategic Pathology IT solution to enable the highest quality service provision to patients that use the services of SWL Pathology, irrespective of their location. This will require the post holder to maintain a good working relationship with both internal and external end users, not only supporting current services but developing and promoting service enhancements and improvements.

What you'll be doing;

• Repairs to all types of vehicles, plant and any other work to do with the service
  
• Ensure that company uniform is worn at the commencement and throughout your period of duty.
  
• Attend roadside breakdowns and be able to work as part of a team
  
• All workshop tools, personal tools and welding equipment must be secured and where possible locked away each night. Welding and electrical equipment should be turned off and left in a safe condition when not in use
  
• Fill in a daily worksheet/timesheet, individual job cards, legal documentation such as safety inspection sheets for vehicle and body equipment and plant maintenance each day, completed forms must be given to your supervisor before the end of your shift
  
• To be aware of your obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974 and follow the code of safe working practice in your place of work as an engineer
  
• To participate in the development of the business, by active involvement in Veolia policy and procedures. Enabling you to be equipped with the necessary skills to carry out your duties to the required standards
  

What we're looking for;

• Practical experience and apprentice trained time served as a mechanical fitter
  
• Hold a current driving licence
  
• LGV Licence (Training can be provided)
  
• Efficient in the following tasks; Inspecting Vehicles ; Mechanical; Pneumatic; Welding; Hydraulics, electrical repairs and diagnostics with a good working knowledge of RCV'S, Hook-loaders, Skip loaders, and FEL vehicles - Desirable (training provided)
  
• The ideal person will have a flexible and enthusiastic approach to working in sometimes adverse conditions and additional hours will be expected
  
• Able to work on own initiative and within a team environment
  
• Expected to supply your own comprehensive tool kit
  
• The ability to ensure the delivery of high levels of customer service is also essential in this role
  
• Good communication skills are essential for liaising with customers and colleagues
  
• Be prepared to attend internal and external training courses
