Brand new role which will part of the Supplier Relationship Management team who will be fundamental in engaging and building productive relationships across the SSE Group with key Software and SaaS Suppliers.

Reporting to the Lead Supplier Relationship Manager, SRM shall be responsible for managing and developing productive relationships with our major Software and SaaS suppliers which have been selected through our Supplier Segmentation process in collaboration with our internal customers. The role holder will act as commercial & contractual advisory between the IT senior leadership teams, and Senior Directors of the relevant BUs with a focus on ensuring that these suppliers are delivering on key deliverables such as service, performance, cost, insights and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Relationship Management. Implement, manage and develop productive relationships between IT, P&C, BU and IT Key Suppliers. Support Supplier Segmentation in collaboration with IT to identify key suppliers.

- Advisory. Provide commercial and contractual advice and insights to Procurement and Commercial leadership and Directors of the SSE Group.

- Governance. Manage a portfolio of Suppliers either within the Software/ category with a value of £50-100m per annum to support the delivery of Procurement & Commercial department KPIs and objectives in line with Procurement Manual, Commercial Manual and the IT Contract Management Governance Manual.

- Management. Manage the performance and develop the capabilities of a team of 2 Contract Manager(s). Also provide commercial / contractual advice and support to the wider P&C team.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Comprehensive and proven in depth knowledge and experience of the software and SaaS market and Supply chain, including experience in drafting, interpreting and negotiating complex IT & Telco Contracts.

- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a highly experienced in building and maintaining relationships with IT & Telco Suppliers such as Microsoft, Oracle and GE. Experience in developing Business Reviews and collaboratively engaging with all stakeholders to create innovative solutions.

- Proven track record in communicating effectively with Senior Management and Directors to build valued and 'trusted partner relationships.

- Experience in leading the most complex technology commercial negotiations and operating with the strategic/long term in mind to ensure SSE is leveraging both financial and operational opportunities across the SSE Group.

What is the Role?

We have an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware person to lead, manage and develop a Southern Regional System Planning and Investment team within our SSEN Distribution business. Your team will be at the front line of Connections & Diversion customer enquiries, and you'll provide technical expertise at meetings with large commercial and industrial clients and consultant to resolve complaints and drive improvements.

In this role you'll:-

• assess network performance, asset condition and network capacity and make recommendations for improvements to meet the net-zero challenge and future requirements of SSEN.
• represent SSE as a technical expert at UK-wide industry forums and working parties, and contribute to the development of new/revised Engineering recommendations and Engineering Technical Reports.
• allocate and manage technical assessments, network modelling, collection and interpretation of large volumes of complex network data, and present this in an easily digestible format for internal and external stakeholders and regulators, including OFGEM.
• take key accountability for managing and developing investment programmes to meet statutory requirements and ensure the network is fit for purpose.

What do I need?

You will have extensive experience in electrical engineering. Essential to this role will be your technical understanding of Distribution Networks and Standards, and the ability to carry out complex network modelling. You'll be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Ability to produce, review and assess complex technical reports and interpret large volumes of complex data to display in a digestible format to stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, able to take a project from concept through to delivery, allocating work throughout the team to meet the customers' requirements and budget.
• Leadership skills to engage, develop and manage the team in accordance with the SSE Leadership Blueprint and safety culture.
• Financial management and commercially astute.
• Ability to conduct a cost benefit analysis for the strategic investment case.

We are looking for an Electricity Network Manager to join our busy team!

As an Electricity Network Manager you will assist the Network Integrity Manager with overall responsibility of the efficient performance and reliability of the Regions network.

The Network Manager is responsible for the safe, timely and cost-effective planning and completion of works associated with system faults, asset defects and all reactive works for a sub-regional area, or a specific risk to the integrity and performance of the Regions network.

The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager to work in our facility in Newbury. The purpose of this role is to manage the Technical aspects of the site and processes, be a key member of the site management team and serve as a key interface with central Technical functions.
Main responsibilities:
• Responsible for the Technical Management of the site, ensuring compliance to all food safety and legal requirements.
• Ensure customer standards and expectations are met.
• Drive Food Safety & Quality culture on site.
• Working closely with Bart ingredients Technical & Food Defence Teams, ensuring best practice.
• Managing the Site QA team.
• HACCP team leader.
• Manage site FSQMS.
• Lead 3rd party audits on site, retaining the highest level of accreditation to BRCGS and customer audits.
• Manage NCR and Complaints, including trending and analysing data.
• To be actively involved in NPD process from concept to launch.
• Complete daily site inspections with production management, identify issues and propose/ assist with implementation of corrective actions.
• Fully involved in a proactive approach to site Health and Safety.


Person specification/Qualifications/Capabilities:

• HACCP L3 or above
• Food Safety L3 or above
• Food Science degree or similar is preferable, but not essential
• Proven experience in a Factory Technical role
• Experience with retailer standards and audits
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient IT skills

Hours and location of work:

The hours for this role are 38.75 hours per week Monday – Friday with a salary of up to £50,000 with up to 10% annual bonus based on KPI’s.
