Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $110,000 to $189,000, Annually.  The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In this role, successful candidates will manage a new program for the training of educational technology entrepreneurs across Africa. This program consists of a number of components, including online courses, in-person and remote workshops, and mentoring support for hundreds of entrepreneurs in 8 countries who are participating in a startup technology accelerator in their country. The successful candidate will assist faculty in coordinating across these accelerators at a high level to assess accelerator and entrepreneur needs and aspirations. They will plan upcoming programming that meet these needs and aspirations, including managing travel opportunities for in-person events, aligning across program components by setting focus and guiding the direction of other team members, and tracking timelines and schedules to ensure that we are meeting our goals. They will additionally support evaluation and assessment of the program in order to drive improvement.

Excellent communication and organization skills are essential for this role as the candidate will be coordinating with accelerators, CMU staff, entrepreneurs, and the funder of the program. This should include the implementation and use of project management tools to facilitate the work of the whole team. Because the CMU team is small, this role also is likely to include project management responsibilities as well, depending on which program component may need support at any particular moment.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Social Work Case Manager in Care Management is a professional clinician that utilizes principles of care coordination to support patients and their families/caregivers.  The incumbent collaborates with the interdisciplinary team of providers, clinicians, health plans, and external partners while advocating for patients and families/caregivers to coordinate care across the continuum.  The incumbent is an integral member of the Care Management team that works to improve the quality of care, patient experience, and the health of populations and individuals by focusing on the social determinants of health impacting wellness. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contributes to and/or completes initial and ongoing comprehensive assessment.  Provides interventions and implements recommendations after engaging patients and their caregivers/families.  Focuses on the individual's risk related to social determinants of health to assure successful coordination of care across the continuum. (30%)
• Collaborates to provide the safest transition plan for assigned patients (Inpatient/Observation/ED) in order to ensure a timely discharge and provide appropriate connection with post-discharge care providers and community based resources. (25%)
• Educates patient, family/caregiver and physician regarding most appropriate level of care post discharge and how to access community support.  Advocates for the patient, family/caregiver through effectively communicating with interdisciplinary team members, payers and post acute partners to assure the safest transition. (20%)
• Serves as a resource to provide counseling and intervention related to treatment decisions and end-of-life issues.  Drives collaborative conversations to establish goals of care.  Provides crisis interventions in cases involving Child Abuse and Neglect, Domestic Violence, Adult and Older Adult Abuse, Institutional Abuse Sexual Assault, Mental Health Disorders, Substance Use Disorders, and Identification of a Surrogate Decision Maker/Guardianship. The role would suit someone who can balance being a manager whilst advocating for the Technology Centre internally and externally of Autodesk.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a diverse team of manufacturing specialists. Remove roadblocks to allow the team to achieve important organisational accountabilities.
• Support, encourage and assist the members of the team. Use your experience to help them with both technical and non-technical challenges.
• Become an advocate for the Technology Centre, searching for ways to leverage its unique position ensuring maximum impact for Autodesk and its partners. Innovating on new ways the technology centre can add value to Autodesk.
• Be the spokesperson for the team and promote its accomplishments and struggles with management, stakeholders, and adjacent teams.
• Be a key driver in events held in the Technology Centre, coordinating the team to create and present engaging on machine demonstrations highlighting new technology.
• Maintain a competent level of technical expertise, to be hands-on and remain connected to manufacturing and software technologies, working with team members and the broader Autodesk technical community.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders in marketing to plan activities throughout the year highlighting new areas of development and important focus areas defined by GTM.
• Liaising with other teams to establish a validation strategy for the Technology Centre to ensure new functionality is certified prior to release.
• Have confidence to present the Autodesk vision to customers and partners.
• Foster a connection to product development and product management, ensuring the Technology Centre is relevant to the needs of the organisation.

Minimum qualifications

• BS – Engineering or Manufacturing is a typical qualification, but we are open to candidates who have the relevant industry experience.
• Formal or informal leadership experience – we'd like to see that you can inspire others, even if it was not in an official manager role.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• 8+ years of manufacturing experience working in a technical environment.
• Experience in CAD, CAM, CNC machine tools, CNC controllers, NC code (G-code).

This is an office-based position to support in person, the running of the Technology Centre.

You will report to the Director of Technology Consulting for the Technology Centre.
