• Assists with special complex assignments often of a highly sensitive and confidential nature and interacts with Medical Center management, VA Central Office officials, senior leaders, government agency officials, and others

Senior Technical Support Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an senior level customer-facing Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Cambridge. You’ll be helping make our customers successful by providing high-quality, efficient support for our virtualization-based security solutions and cloud customers. The Senior Technical Support Engineer interacts with our customers and takes ownership of technical issues through to resolution, using a variety of tools, resources, and expertise.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Technical Support Engineer:

• Fulfil incoming incidents, requests, and escalations, assisting customers and stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner

• Perform technical problem diagnosis and resolution

• Schedule, manage and deploy configuration changes/endpoint updates to our customer cloud environments

• Schedule, manage and health-check customer cloud environments

• Provision and deprovision customer cloud environments

• Assess, analyse and make technical recommendations to improve customer supported cloud platforms

• Schedule, manage and deploy configuration changes/endpoint updates to our customer cloud environments

• Through effective communication, ensure customers are well informed

• Where appropriate, perform customer follow-ups to gather further information to drive issues through to resolution

• Follow support and business processes accurately with attention to detail. Proactively look for opportunities to improve the efficiency and quality of our services

• Responsibility for customer-facing support of pre-sales prospects, customers and partners.

• Serving as a HP subject matter expert, educating customers on best practices.

• Communicating with customers and stake holders via e-mail, ticket systems and remote conference calls.

Requirements for the Senior Technical Support Engineer:

• Exceptional customer service skills, particularly the ability to empathise and follow through tasks to ensure customer satisfaction

• Excellent organisation to ensure that many concurrent incidents are all being taken care of in a timely manner

• Direct work experience in a similar environment (ideally supporting external clients)

• Experience with managing and supporting customers in a cloud environment or SaaS style service

• Prior experience troubleshooting and maintaining Windows Operating environments

• Knowledge of enterprise endpoint deployment tools

• Solid understanding of networks and networking protocols

• Solid understanding of virtualization products and concepts

A great Senior Technical Support Engineer will have-

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent

• Experience deploying, configuring and/or supporting endpoint security products

  • Assess, evaluate and recommend technical solutions for computer hardware, software, network connectivity and basic telecom issues for short term and long term resolutions.
  • Follow and communicate established policies and procedures; create documentation or notify manager if documentation is outdated, incorrect or needs improvement.

• Telecom troubleshooting and support
  • Proficient at maintaining Avaya equipment hardware such as removing/replacing phone components, headset issues and verification of network wiring.
  • Maintain, configure and support Avaya equipment software.
  • Perform local phone services by resolving issues regarding local phone services including vendor provided T1 and analog service interruptions and vendor management.
  • Configure and support Vocera and wireless phone systems without supervision.
  • Perform moves, adds and changes at system-wide locations including installation of analog, digital and IP phones and headsets.
• Network troubleshooting and support
  • Install preconfigured network gear such as switches, firewalls and terminal servers, asset tagging of UPS and ATS equipment.
  • Provide on-site after-hour power outage coverage.
  • Replace and/or install failed network equipment.
  • Perform low level access function to switches and term servers.
  • Conduct cross connections and switch documentation in data closets.
  • Maintain data closet best practices, troubleshoot or escalate issues within IT department.
• Project management and customer service
  • Organize, plan staffing and train employees on medium to large project teams.
  • Primary point of contact for regional Business Analyst IT/Coordinator for providing technical resources for projects and ensuring technical staff timely complete required work.
  • Coordinate complex implementation activities working with the regional Business Analyst IT/Coordinator, customers and other IT groups to produce desired business solutions while following standard project management methodologies.
  • Participate in and lead as needed, project meetings, assist in virtual walk-throughs and communicate with regional team members and other IT groups.
  • Communicate technical updates, issues, open issues, etc. to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain ServiceNow ticket service level agreement (SLA) and document customer communications and work completed within SN tickets.
• Process and documentation
  • Proactively identify opportunities for incident resolution, service improvements and internal efficiencies following ITIL best practices.
  • Document processes and procedures for common Services Requests and Incidents, thereby enabling less experienced personnel to become familiar with proven methods of resolution.
  • Participate and lead when needed task groups to define, develop, document, communicate and implement technical process improvements and initiatives.
  • Create, distribute and train on clear and concise technical process documentation for team members, end-users and support groups.

The Platform Services and Emerging Technologies organization seeks a highly motivated Infrastructure Software Engineer to help build and support our entire on-prem and cloud platform infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS and/or Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and Git Administration and will play a crucial role in automating and optimizing our development and deployment processes. Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with source control solutions such as Git

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience in producing high-quality technical documentation and the ability to communicate effectively with peers, partners, and customers

Autodesk Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Consultant to work with our main customers to design customized and configured solutions for their Enterprise Application (EA) integrations with cloud-based technologies. You will work directly with customers to understand their EA integration needs and develop custom solutions built on Autodesk Cloud and On-Premise Products. Responsibilities

• Work with customers to determine breadth and depth of EA integration needs
