An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Technical Services Team, primarily supporting our thriving Paramedic Science programme at Glenside Campus.

This post will involve supporting the teaching of clinical skills and simulation training. This will include the setting up and maintenance of specialist equipment including high fidelity mannequins and specialist task trainers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all equipment reflects current practice. They will liaise closely with the academic team to deliver gold standard teaching.

This role is student-facing; you will regularly work with students from all disciplines and report to the Technical Manager and work directly with the Technical Services team and academic colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional engineering experience in Software Security , or a related field

• Minimum 5+ years of full-stack expertise in application design & development with Java technologies, with knowledge of Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Message Queues & Workflow Engines in a microservices architecture

• Strong hands-on ability to fixing vulnerable libraries/packages in Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, NodeJS, Go, Kotlin, Message Queue frameworks or workflow engines

What you need to succeed:

Configures and manages Linux and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, vulnerability patching, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices.

Uses and understands Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Risk Management Framework (RMF).

System Engineer:

We support all families with 12 weeks of paid leave for new birth, adoption, surrogacy, or foster-to-adopt primary caregivers. Secondary caregivers are offered 6 weeks of paid leave.
