The Opportunity

We are looking for a Technical Planning Lead to join our nuclear energy business. You will join the Regulatory Interface and External Oversight (RI&EO) department in EDF Nuclear Generation Limited (NGL), which exists to provide independent (of the line) governance, oversight and support for regulatory and external oversight interfaces in the pursuit of safe, reliable operations supporting EDF’s existing nuclear operations fleet through to defueling. The opportunity

As the Software Analyst / Engineer, it will be your role to ensure application-based services for Nuclear Operations are supported and maintained in line with business need and technology changes. We primarily require individuals with experience in development and support of Power Apps and SharePoint online with the skills to work in a team. Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, ALM Accelerator and Oracle APEX would also be favourable.

The post holder will support and develop Power Apps and SharePoint Online applications maintaining compliance with change management processes. They will interface with the Nuclear Operations Business, wider EDF business, direct partner organisations and 3rd parties supporting/supplying services to gather information evaluate requirements and to provision advice and guidance in support of applications services.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Technical Lead to join our Nuclear Operations IT Service team. In this role, you will take the lead on strategic usage of our Power Apps/Platform stack and provide technical direction to deliver solutions aligned with our digital transformation goals. We primarily require individuals with experience in development and support of Power Platform and SharePoint online with the skills to lead and help direct a team of developers. The Opportunity…

We are looking for a safety critical Software Engineer to join our Nuclear Services Business.

Your engineering work will directly support EDF’s nuclear new build projects at Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C, as well as EDF’s existing nuclear fleet operations. Your responsibilities will include some of the following:


- In-service support to the design and development of Safety Critical, software-based Control and Protection systems.
- Performing and supporting the qualification of software-based equipment. This may include the specification and/or performance of software assurance activities, these could include tool-based analysis of code, auditing activities, as well as authoring of test specifications, qualification plans, assessment reports and other safety-related justifications for the use of software in nuclear applications).
- Providing advice within EDF on the software aspects of Safety Related Instrumentation and Control (I&C), e.g. small commercial off-the-shelf devices, PLCs, as well as other large scale plant computer systems and their associated tools and applications.
- Acting as technical coordinator for software-related research projects, and contributing to the delivery of training on relevant technical topics

Each of the above may include:


- Production and/or verification of internally produced documentation and technical reviews and client acceptance of externally produced engineering and safety.
- Participating in discussions to resolve technical issues with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.
