1. Responsible for all aspects of the professional management of the Technical Services section of the pharmacy, including the clinical input into prescribing and administration of chemotherapy, in order to provide a high quality, efficient pharmacy service to patients and staff within C&W. To lead by example in the specialisms of oncology, haematology and palliative care and ensure a consistently high quality clinical pharmacy service is delivered to these patients and other clinical areas that utilise technical services products, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Although this post is based at the Chelsea site, the post holder will be involved in working collaboratively across site and will be required to attend meetings at the West Middlesex site or work from West Middlesex site occasionally as required.

Work with the network managed service (NMS) to ensure continued operation including; technical review of designs, changes and service management of the NMS. Proactively monitor and review the network managed service and assure NMS supplier security quality (in line with Security Management best practice, contractual agreements, and industry standards). Analyse, investigate and troubleshoot to complex IT requests, problems and issues. Lead on problem management, identifying root causes to problems and recommending permanent fixes and workarounds, and make judgements on multi-stranded or complex ICT problems which may have no precedent or where there are conflicting opinions. 1. To ensure the safe, efficient and correct receipt, storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals. 2. To participate in stock topping up service to wards and departments. 3. The post-holder will work within the Pharmacy Clinical Commissioning Team to ensure all financial and commissioning data for high cost medicines are reported to the Trust Finance and Commissioning Departments to ensure timely billing to external commissioners. This will include ensuring the Trust database is maintained with respect to external reporting requirements including but not limited to patient details, medication (including form, dose, and amount of medication supplied), indication and any other requirements requested by the Trust or the commissioners. In addition, the post holder will assist in the provision of additional Pharmacy databases which are used to inform external commissioners.
