About the role:
The Governance Administrative Officer will be deeply involved in our corporate governance functions, working closely with our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board of Trustees. Your contribution will be essential in supporting the CEO and Chair od the Board, enhancing the effectiveness of our team operations. You will help organise Trustee meetings, manage governance-related activities, and provide administrative support to various committees. In this role, you will be working up to 16 hours per week with flexible hours (including evening work to attend board meetings).
Main Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide specialised administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team
- Support the CEO and Chair of the Board in managing Board processes.
- Assist in organising Trustee meetings and events, from setting agenda's, preparing Boardpapers, minutetaking.
- Updating CompaniesHouse and the Charities Commission.
- Offer administrative aid to the Chair of the Scrutiny Committee.
- Handle complex queries via phone or email.
- Maintain efficient filing systems and electronic databases.
About you:
We are looking for someone who ideally has experience in charity administration and governance structures, although would consider candidates with strong transferrable skills with experience of an administrative role with a range of stakeholders. You will be proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel, with excellent communication skills.
