This is an exciting opportunity in which you will manage the delivery of multiple Projects (concept-design-pricing-delivery-handover) for a programme of Billable Works (Projects), ensuring a high-quality output and that all works are delivered on time and within budget.

Your key responsibilities will include:

This role will see you oversee the delivery of Billable Works (projects) in accordance with Government Regulatory and Statutory undertakings, complying with all Health & Safety and Environmental standards and policies, monitor contractors to ensure suitably qualified and experienced operatives are directed to relevant tasks to achieve safe working, timely delivery and required quality and all performance indicators are consistently achieved and ensure all works are delivered to the relevant H&S standards/rules.
You will also review Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure they are to an acceptable standard, manage the design and scope process to provide a tender package, work with the Vivo commercial team to manage the tender process, review and evaluate technical proposals, provide a customer price that is value for money, support end users and management in providing optimal solutions to customer requirements to resolve end user issues, and ensure appropriate work plans and budgets are in place to achieve programmes and financial commitments, whilst meeting the changing operational need.
Managing cost and stakeholder expectations through excellent communication and sound commercial decisions to ensure value for money will be an important aspect of this position, as well as working with all stakeholders to support the management and mitigation of contract risk.
What you'll need to succeed
First and foremost, you should be an experienced Project Manager with a Billable Works (refits/refurbs) background, with experience of managing low value, high volume projects, and a qualification in Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.You should have experience of managing contractors, costs, planning, directing and controlling activities, proactive performance management, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
You must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing and able to undertake national travel as business demands.

The Authority

As well as being part of the PSFA, a new authority established in 2022, you will also be part of the Government Counter Fraud Function (GCFF), which has members in all departments, at all levels, in all sectors.

The PSFA is outcome and performance driven, offers a depth and breadth of expertise and works jointly with HMT to tackle fraud in the public sector.

The PSFA, whilst sitting within the Cabinet Office, reports jointly to the Cabinet Office and Treasury Ministers. Maintaining close working relationships with HMT colleagues is key to ensure the PSFA can deliver its mandate effectively. The PSFA operates with locations across the country – including York, Glasgow, Newcastle and London. As a result, hybrid working is fully embraced and teams are encouraged to collaborate in the various Cabinet Office Hubs around the country.

The team offers opportunities for fraud experts across the disciplines needed to effectively find and fight fraud, including risk assessment, measurement, prevention, intelligence and investigation. As part of the Practice and Standards team, you’ll join a small and dynamic team providing capability services to PSFA and the Government Counter Fraud Profession, bringing expertise together to define practices, develop standards and increase capability across the public sector through the Government Counter Fraud Profession (GCFP). Development of professional standards is critical to the expansion of the GCFP and a move to a more proactive preventive approach to counter fraud across the Public Sector.

The Government Counter Fraud Profession (GCFP) Board has already approved the development of a number of Standards for Practitioners covering the main areas of the Counter Fraud Framework. The GCFP board is committed to growing this offering and is now seeking an experienced individual to develop further standards to support the implementation of a consistent approach to counter fraud in central government.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who is ambitious and delivery focused. They should be passionate about challenging the status quo, making a difference, fighting fraud, developing capability and shaping how the public sector effectively understands and reduces the impact of fraud.

Key deliverables and responsibilities will include:

• Research, design, develop and publish new professional standards and ensure that all published documentation is regularly reviewed and updated to incorporate the latest thinking, guidance and legislation.
• Working closely with other parts of the public and private sectors to understand future Practice and Standards requirements.
• Working closely with the GCFP Board to enhance counter fraud capability across the public sector, re implementation of new policies and GCFP standards.
• Developing capability and shaping how the public sector effectively understands and reduces the impact of fraud.

• UK NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (Adult), Registered Mental Health Nurse, or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse
• NVQ/QCF level 5 in health and social care or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a healthcare setting, with a focus on acquired brain injury , mental health or similar.
• Strong understanding of budget management, resource allocation, and staff supervision
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
• Passion for advocating for individuals with acquired brain injuries and promoting their independence and quality of life

• Oversee the clinical operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in nursing and healthcare management
• Lead and mentor a team of nurses and healthcare professionals to provide person-centered care and support to residents with acquired brain injuries
• Develop and implement care plans, treatment strategies, and interventions to address the unique needs of individuals with acquired brain injuries
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, social workers, and medical professionals, to ensure holistic and comprehensive care for residents
