Senior HR Business Advisor
This is a hybrid role, combining remote work from home and in-office presence, the Senior HR Business Advisor is responsible for delivering Core Advisory Services to an assigned larger scale and complex client group or multiple groups (functions or countries). This role delivers manager support in employee ‘difficult moments that matter’ and in implementing employee impacting changes and programs for their allocated client area. With key responsibility for ensuring our approaches are aligned with Equinix policies and procedures and legislative / compliance requirements in line with our Equinix values. Acting as a trusted support and partner to the leader in the designated client areas or portfolio of clients
Employee Matters;
▪Guide and advise managers in the management of employee matters - employee performance, conduct case and concerns (grievances), terminations.
▪coaches and develops managers in employee matters building their understanding, capability and confidence to identify & prevent or address and handle matters
▪Develop guides & training packs to support the upskilling of managers in handling of employee related matters
▪HRS escalations – providing answers / guidance on complex matters as advanced by HRS, building knowledge and understanding of HRS in doing so.
Lead employee investigations for our non-complex cases
Program & Process execution and support
Support delivery of annual cyclical activities - GPS, etc and work with leaders to interpret PULSE (engagement survey) results and supporting managers in creating actions plans; partnering with respective CoE’s
lead on the end-to-end execution of org or terms and condition changes for designated client area
Partner with business leaders, and other HR functions to execute implementation of HR products and solutions (includes change management)
Compliance and Policies
Develop HR policies and handbooks maintaining compliance with relevant legislative employment requirements. Assist the business in understanding and navigating employment legal requirements in market including representative bodies (where applicable)
Responsible for non ‘centralize’ local geographical compliance activities – e.g local government or state submissions / annual reporting / formal representative body (workers council or unions) discussions
Data and Insights
Provide data analytics and data driven insight on people metrics, including on employee relations cases.
Review exit interview data - identifying issue and insights which will help the business in addressing scale and succession challenges
Delivery & Leadership Support
Support leader with execution of functional HR strategy, plans and objectives; Support delivery of programs (e.g., GPS, talent reviews), and execution of people plans based on outcomes of programs
Participate in country or regional leadership teams for respective functions
Coach & Influence senior leaders in execution of business delivery and people plans.
Knowledge & Experience
Experience of managing and guiding business leaders on complex ER Cases liaising with Legal partners. Can assess and advise on consequences, risk and precedence of cases to build recommendations for resolution. Experience of advising on senior and sensitive cases.
Solid understanding of employment regulations and legislation in market which they operate with the ability to navigate compliance and requirements and advise commercial approach and risks to the business. Able to request and interpret legal assessment on complex employee matters.
Has capability to act as regional or advisory representative on programs in development and design of program
Support managers in the completion and communication planning of HR cyclical processes including GPs processes and Pulse, ensuring they are aware of any regional or global ‘instructions/approaches’. Can represent regional or advisory in any development or reviews of processes. Comfortable supporting at senior leadership levels.
Deliver and handle change for dedicated client area, including supporting and coaching managers in presenting the change
Responsible for assimilating and interpreting multi data sources to provide people data metrics (using WFA tools) for designated client area.
Provide input and insights to regional or global co-ordinator
Proven record of assessing complex or multi faceted situations and reaching a fully considered decision
Strong skills in analysing and assessing complex situations - understanding interconnections and implications to formulate solutions.
Maintains working knowledge of business lines as well as competitive market at the country / functional level, align and drive people solution to business outcome
Experience and proficient at influencing and coaching senior leaders. Has confidence to use questioning and influencing techniques in discussions with leaders.
