Your new role
As a Semi-Senior Accountant within this firm, you will support clients with the preparation of yearly statutory accounts, communicating regularly with customers about their business activities and with other departments to coordinate all aspects of the accounts' preparation process in a timely manner. Through excellent communication and service delivery, you will develop effective relationships with clients and will collaborate with colleagues, communicating regularly with managers and directors. The ideal candidate for this role will be capable of managing more complex accounts preparation activities and will review the work of more junior members of the team.


What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate for this role will have gained experience preparing year-end accounts for clients from start to finish within an accountancy practice and will now be seeking the opportunity to step up to more complex work. You will ideally be AAT Qualified and/or part way through ACA or ACCA and will be offered fully funded study support to enable you to continue with your exams. Excellent systems skills (using a range of accounting packages such as Xero, Quickbooks, Receiptbank) and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues will also be key.

• Running a 360 desk in the Construction market, where we have a successful and proven-track record delivering exceptional results and services across the Coventry and Northampton area. You will also work with a dedicated and experienced Manager who will be able to provide continued support in addition to expert market knowledge.

You will be joining a local authority, based in the West Midlands in a metropolitan district. As a Senior Engineer (specialising in Drainage), you will get a year-long contract working Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Your new role
As a Senior Engineer with drainage experience, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Identifying highway drainage maintenance needs and prioritising work, including working with the Highways Asset Management Engineer to produce forward programmes of work, to design highway drainage maintenance and minor drainage improvement schemes in line with established design parameters including drawings, specifications and contract documentation to ensure the delivery of high quality services on time and to budget as well as much more.

In order to be successful, it would be preferable that the chosen candidate will have similar experience in a similar role with a local council or authority. A civil engineering background would also be desirable.
