Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4:00pm with a 1:00pm finish on Friday
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 DOE + free onsite parking

Are you an administrator / coordinator / customer service advisor who has had experience dealing with suppliers and chasing orders and would like to utilise these skills by making the move into a purchasing role?
The role of purchasing is to buy products and services that the company need and, in this case, you will be working with a well-respected manufacturing company, buying parts and materials to ensure manufacturing runs smoothly and customers receive their finished orders on time.
With the company’s continuous support and training, your key responsibilities will include; liaising and negotiating with suppliers; processing orders; ensuring databases are kept up to date and liaising with different departments within the business to ensure the swift production and delivery process.
This fantastic position would suit an individual with an ambitious and hardworking attitude who is looking for a long term and rewarding purchasing career within a company who offer excellent progression opportunities.
Some of your duties will include:
• Sourcing new suppliers and materials, negotiating the best deal to suit company requirements.
• Reviewing purchases and consolidate requirements to reduced stock levels and orders placed.
• Ensuring orders are placed correctly and that they arrive on time – raising any delays or issues to senior materials staff.
• Resolving any quality / service issues with suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensuring all databases including the ERP system are kept up to date with correct contact details and communications.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing suppliers whilst continuously reviewing their performance.
• Providing outstanding customer service via telephone and email, promptly responding to enquiries regarding customer quotations.
We would like our ideal candidates to possess:
• A minimum of two years’ experience within an office-based environment.
• Experience liaising across various departments and working with suppliers.
• Strong administration skills.
• An ambitious attitude with the drive to progress.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to be an excellent team player who can also work alone using their own initiative.
• Excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Good PC skills – knowledge of Microsoft programmes including Excel & Outlook.
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4:00pm with a 1:00pm finish on Friday
