We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of a dynamic nursing workforce team in delivering a highly effective service across region.
Leading on work which supports the delivery of a safe sustainable and expanded nursing, midwifery and AHP workforce related to international recruitment within the context of the CNO/CMiDO Strategy and NHS long-term workforce plan.
The successful candidate will be a registered midwife with current clinical labour ward experience or able to demonstrate comprehensive up-to-date clinical skills. The post leads on both the development and the delivery of all aspects of midwifery international recruitment, including the regions flagship NMC intensive midwifery OSCE training programme and other national programmes which support providers in the developing internal maternity OSCE training programmes.
The role offers a significant opportunity to help shape national and regional initiatives and policy, and additionally successful candidate will have experience and detailed understanding of international recruitment and retention initiatives. The post holder will be required to provide proactive project management and leadership support as part of the team to deliver the programme of work with NEY region and with colleagues nationally in other regions.
The successful candidate will have a track record of supporting the delivery of successful programmes of work and change. In addition to working closely with our national and regional teams, the successful candidate will be expected to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including diaspora groups local system and provider organisations.
Working both as a team member and independently you will be innovative and able to balance multiple competing priorities and programmes, able to demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines, have an understanding of project management, governance, risk management, Informatics and communications and engagement.

Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8a with a full-time starting salary of £50,952, with a pay step increase after 5 years’ service.
These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.
