We have a fantastic opportunity for a Recruitment Advisor to join us for a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Secondments will be considered.
We are looking for a candidate who is able to 'hit the floor running' to join our high performing recruitment team.
You will be accountable for the operational delivery of a customer focused service to all hiring managers within their division. You will be responsible for the line management and development of the recruitment team, and you will liaise with hiring managers to deliver a recruitment service in line with legislation and best practice to meet Trust objectives.
You will also support the Resourcing Lead with key strategic projects and improving efficiencies through innovation and contribute to the development and growth of the service.
This is hybrid role between working from home and in the office.
You will need to be experienced using TRAC and ESR.

This post will be responsible for ensuring day-to-day recruitment is managed within the agreed key performance indicators and for supporting and developing the delivery team.
Leading a small team the post will oversee the delivery of all non-medical recruitment including volunteers, honorary and international recruitment.
This post will work with the Strategic Resourcing Lead, to deliver a professional and customer focussed resourcing function, ensuring the provision of a high quality, innovative and effective service to internal and external customers. In addition, the post-holder will ensure that the service is compliant with all aspects of employment legislation and meets all essential standards as outlined by the CQC.
This post will have responsibility for designated projects such as recruitment fairs, Capital Nurse international recruitment, internal transfer, redeployment scheme, and Project Search.
The role will also be responsible for ad hoc projects and recruiting to senior operational and positions, ensuring that the correct process is followed and that customer service standards are applied.

• Support and guide hiring managers through the recruitment process, adopting a pro-active stance in identifying improvements to recruitment adverts, job descriptions, person specifications and other recruitment material.
• Revise and update recruitment documentation where appropriate and ensure that they are in accordance with employment legislation, NHS terms and conditions of service and Trust branding.
• Ensure all recruitment campaigns are implemented within the Home Office guidelines for safer recruitment and to comply with our sponsorship licence requirements.
• Draft, amend and guide managers in developing captive and creative adverts.
• Liaise with agencies in placing external adverts in the relevant publication/journal, ensuring deadlines are met and in accordance with Trust branding.
• Attend and be a member of interview panels when required and appropriate, providing recruiting managers with guidance, support, and advice.
• Quality assure offer letters and contracts.
• Promote equal opportunities and good employment practice in employment and recruitment practices.
• Be responsible for and take ownership for the completion of all necessary paperwork relating to Certificates of Sponsorship as required, providing advice and guidance where required, ensuring that new starters have the correct Home Office approval and paperwork to work.
• Provide expert advice (including the maintenance of trust policy and procedure) on the application of certificates of sponsorship, visas and registration requirements in accordance with Trust policy and appropriate legislation.
• Ensure all pre-employment checks have been undertaken (including checking and verifying documentation for DBS) and that all documentation is in place for the new starter to commence work.
• Lead on designated projects such as recruitment fairs, Capital Nurse, international recruitment, redeployment scheme, internal transfer, and Project Search.
Operational
• Ensure all hiring is undertaken within frameworks of local and national & CQC compliance.
• Work with managers and HRBPs to ensure that roles are recruited to in a timely manner in line with KPIs.
• To provide advice to managers on the legislation relating to applications and the impact of this on individual recruitment exercises.
• To provide an escalation point for queries.
• To work with the Strategic Resourcing Lead to monitor the recruitment pipeline tracker and ensure that recruitment processes are delivered within KPI.
• Provide monthly KPI data and ad hoc reports when required.
• Ensure proactive recruitment updates are provided to recruiting managers, demonstrating delivery to internal standards.
• Ensure that the department customer service standards are applied.
• Conduct regular compliance checks.
Team Management
• Supervise a team of recruitment officers and assistants and work collaboratively with the Strategic Resourcing Lead in relation to the recruitment and development of staff.
• Conduct regular 121’s with team including reviews of workloads.
• Maintain team helpdesk rota.
• Deputise for the Strategic Resourcing Lead when required.
