The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Eastern Services, is currently inviting applicants who have a minimum of 6 months NHS experience to join our team of Junior Doctors in the Emergency Department at Exeter for August 2024. We are building our Junior Doctor team with a focus on developing sustainable working practices. Our base full shift rota has recently been redesigned and comprises an attractive 40 hours a week including SPA/Educational Development time. Our team comprises clinicians with subspecialty interest in Paediatrics, PHEM, Research, CESR, Environmental Sustainability, Extreme Medicine, Sports Medicine and much more. The Emergency Department is a modern progressive department and Trauma Unit supported by a dedicated team of 25 Consultant Emergency Physicians providing shop floor leadership from 0800 2300 hours, 365 days a year. Our Medical staffing model enjoys round the clock middle grade cover, 21 person junior doctor rota, with 3 SHOs overnight and is supported by a team of Emergency Nurse Practitioners. We are currently in the final phases of a rebuild providing a new Resuscitation Area, upgraded Majors and Minors space and a separate area for Children. This recent investment both in terms of process and resource to ensure the efficient flow of patients through the Emergency Department aims to provide a productive and rewarding environment in which to work. There is an excellent Departmental Educational Programme for Junior and Middle Grade Doctors and any successful candidate would be encouraged to undertake Quality Improvement activities. The applicant will need to have a broad and sound clinical knowledge and ideally experienced in caring for acutely ill patients. We are currently looking for a motivated, professional, and flexible individual able to work 5 days a week, Monday to Friday day shifts, within a small stock count team, counting our Pharmacy Clients.

In this role, you are required to accurately count stock for Retail & Asset Solutions in various high street Pharmacies, this role is extremely important to ensure pharmacies are fully stocked with the medication required for local Doctors and Hospitals.

Please note all training is provided upon your first shift.

Previous stock, audit or retail experience is advantageous but not essential.

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner.
