The CYP with Autism Spectrum Disorder or a Learning Disability Postgraduate Diploma programme involves both academic learning, coursework and supervised clinical practice. Alongside this, the post holder will work with colleagues in a specialist CFHD pathway, building relationships and wider skills in working children and young people with emotional and mental health needs in the community. This will include evidence-based assessment and outcome-monitored interventions in conjunction with the training. Training Opportunities in Intensive Care We utilise nationally recognized competency packages of learning (CC3N) which are transferable to all Critical Care Units. Additionally, all staff have the opportunity to work with specialized Practice Education Team and attend New Starters Study days. Following completion of the appropriate CC3N Competencies there is an opportunity to interview for a 60 credit level 6 University accredited ITU module as part of the Plymouth University partnership module. Following attainment of a 60 credit Critical care course, there are additional opportunities to be interviewed for the level 6 Paediatric Course. Senior ICU trained nurses will receive additional training to care for paediatrics that are admitted to adult critical care as we have a number of paediatric patients that require stabilization prior to transfer to a paediatric critical care unit.
