We are looking to recruit some highly motivated and enthusiastic social work professionals that can work within an integrated setting and have an ability to form good relationships with other professionals and with vulnerable groups of people that come into contact with mental health and substance misuse services. To fulfil the statutory role of professional Social Worker undertaking a comprehensive range of social work tasks including needs assessment, risk assessment, care planning and care management and joint work with other agencies as required. To work with other professionals and agencies to ensure an effective multi-disciplinary approach in providing a high quality, responsive service.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. We have 1 part-time permanent position available to join the Children's Occupational Therapy Service in Edinburgh.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Children's Occupational Therapy Service.

Our team focuses on a child’s home and school environments to assess where potential changes can improve participation and wellbeing. We work in partnership with the child, their parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support the child within their environments. Our team’s aim is to improve quality of life, reduce risk, increase a child’s independence wherever possible while supporting the family by providing equipment and/or adaptations at home and school. Assessments are generally in relation to the provision of specialist equipment (seating / bathing), minor and major adaptations, moving and handling and housing needs assessments.

The post will require you to: work as an Occupational Therapist undertaking a range of occupational therapy services including assessment and care management of service users’ needs to children and young people with disabilities who are resident within the City of Edinburgh, and also for young people who are looked after and accommodated by the City of Edinburgh Council. Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with current legislation, Council procedures and standards.

What you will be doing

• Deliver FM and Health & Safety within Diligenta to budget, be a point of contact for FM & H&S issues within Scottish Region.

What we are looking for

The post-holder/s will work as part of ESRC funded Scottish Centre for Administrative Data Research (SCADR) within a multi-disciplinary team of social scientists, delivery partners in Public Health Scotland, National Record of Scotland, EPCC as well as practitioners from Scottish Government departments. These posts will particularly focus on research into how health and wellbeing is produced over someone’s life course and through their interaction with particular places and environments as aligned with the Scottish Government National Outcomes.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. Join us as an Health, Safety & Environmental Officer

What you'll do

We’ll be looking to you to provide health and safety advice and guidance. You’ll identify opportunities for clients to improve their H&S performance by creating Safety Management Systems and Compliance Plans to meet the needs of the client.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering legally compliant health and safety management systems

• Providing prompt assistance and completing your work in a timely manner with client contracts, policies and health and safety forms and systems
• Contributing to the management and retention of your team’s shared portfolio

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with strong administration and research skills and experience in a health and safety role. Additionally, you’ll have the ability to deliver and advise on statutory processes and procedures, so good communication skills will be key.

A NEBOSH General Certificate and TechIOSH Membership are essential for the role. A relevant Level 6 Qualification and Cert IOSH membership are desirable.

You’ll also need:

• Experience of providing of basic health and safety advice.
• Up-to-date knowledge safety, health and environmental guidance
• The ability to deal with clients from multiple channels and sectors
• High standards of attention to detail and client service

Location: Edinburgh – Hybrid Working

Salary: £37,945 - £40,896 per annum (dependant on experience)

Full time (37.5 Hours p/w) – Permanent

Working closely with the Senior Management Group you will lead on media relations, digital content, campaign management, and brand stewardship, while overseeing a small team of communications colleagues.
