The urology service at Imperial is pleased to be able to offer an exciting and unique opportunity for an advanced nurse practitioners (ANP) in Endourology at Charing Cross Hospital. The successful candidates will work very closely with the urology multi-disciplinary team and undertake activities for the service.

You will be an experienced band 7/8a practitioner, acting within your professional boundaries. You will develop the skills to independently undertake flexible cystoscopies and lithotripsy provision. You will use your knowledge and skills to provide expert, efficient and safe patient care whilst under guidance of a Consultant. You will demonstrate expert clinical judgement and critical decision-making skills based upon evidence-based practice and work collaboratively with consultants and the wider urology team.

You will be highly skilled individuals who are working towards a Masters level qualification, who are also forward thinking to step up to this challenge. The Mental Health Intellectual Disability Initiative - Adults (MHIDI-A)/Stronger together team is part of the Casey Adult Mental Health program and is located in Thomas Street, Dandenong. We provide consultation, multidisciplinary specialist assessment and treatment to people who have been diagnosed over the age of 16 years, with developmental-intellectual disability and a co-existing diagnosed mental health condition or suspected mental health condition (dual disability), many of whom will have complex presentations and challenging behaviours. We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Educator - Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join us, working full time, 80 hours per fortnight (with a monthly ADO).

A Day in the Life:
This role works in collaboration with the clinical team and a range of internal and external stakeholders, to assist in improved outcomes for consumers with diagnosed or suspected mental illness and co-existing intellectual disability (dual disability).
This will be achieved by developing, implementing and evaluating education and training as in relation to the MHIDI-A program objectives. This role will also carry a small clinical case load.
A key requirement of this post is education and capacity building of health and disability care professionals.
This opportunity is full time role ongoing role working Monday to Friday.
The position will also work in collaboration with other team members to consolidate the Model of Care, formulate clear service policy and guidelines and ensure the service is compliant with Quality & Safety, OHS and all other areas of reporting.

To maintain competence in the essential skills required for delivering care within the unit. To be able to take charge of the ophthalmic theatre To support the clinical Manager in the delivery of clinical governance, risk assessment and quality assurance initiatives. Personal and professional development Evaluate personal performance and development, ensuring clinical and technical skills and knowledge is updated and enhanced. Maintain up to date knowledge within the Ophthalmology field. Participate in appraisal and complete all mandatory training. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Essential - Registered Nurse Ophthalmic scrub experience at independent level. Evidence of continued professional development Desirable - Hold an ILS Certificate or be prepared to attend training to hold an ILS certificate EXPERIENCE Essential - Recent relevant perioperative experience Ability to scrub for ophthalmic procedures Demonstrate an awareness of delivering compassionate and patient centred care Desirable - Experience of leading a team SKILLS AND ABILITY Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
