The primary purpose of this position is: An Enlisted Air Reserve Technician (ART), to assist the medical records administration specialist with responsibility for the daily operations of the Medical Records, Quality Assurance, and Risk Management programs. Oversees all activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization's policies and procedures covering Service Treatment Records (STR) administration. Provides direct support to the Medical Records Administration ART and Senior ART by accomplishing a variety of duties relating to medical administration, military functions, and analysis to assist with the operational requirements of the Squadron and Wing Force Health programs. Works directly with AFRC STR Processing Center, sub-set of Air Force Medical Readiness Agency (AFMRA). Provides training to reserve members in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

Duties:
1. Provides direct support to the Medical Records Administrator and Senior ART in planning, directing, implementing, and controlling all elements of the day-to-day STR operation.
2. Ensures quality and security of the STR program.
3. Provides advisory and consultant services on service treatment records to Reserve Medical Unit staff.
4. Educates Reserve Medical Unit personnel and others on service treatment records requirements.
5. Manages Health Service Benefits and Entitlements.

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding management of the behavioral health activities across the Defense Health Agency Enterprise.
• Execute presentations with the goal of advocating for change.

• Serve as the Program Manager for the Data Quality Management Control Program (DQMC) to establish and operate the DQMC Program for the (Military Health System) MHS.
• Ensure all DQMC Program guidance, policy and instructions conform to and reflect accurate information based on annual updates.
• Advise staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
• Lead in the creation and execution of a DQMC Program Training Plan.

• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Operates Agency aircraft as required to conduct research and development tests for applying agricultural chemicals and delivering biological control specimens.
• Operates Agency aircraft to supervise contract aerial application programs.
• Plans, with the program manager and PPQ pilots, the layout of treatment blocks and direction of flight lines.
• Directly supervises a staff of 5-6 Pilots, Aircraft Mechanics, and Laborers, and has full supervisory responsibility for all activities related to the use of aircraft and for establishing priorities.
• Provides flight training and instruction for newly hired Pilots, Mechanics, Laborers, and Contractors.
• Calibrates the aircraft to assure an accurate application rate per acre and rejects aircraft that do not meet contract specifications.
• Serves as the Point of Contact with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), to deliver briefs on programs involving the treatment of cities, towns, or other congested area.
• Oversees all procurement of aircraft services to include maintenance, overhauls, and equipment modifications, and the acquisition of replacement aircraft or additions to the PPQ fleet.
• Determines compliance with PPQ safety rules and individual state requirements for applying pesticides and FAA rules and regulations, correcting deficiencies as necessary.

• The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
• The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Operate special purpose aircraft along flight lanes to dispense sterile insects over designated areas throughout the United States.
• Pilot aircraft as required to conduct research and development tests for applying agricultural chemicals and delivering biological control specimens at low altitudes and minimum controllable speeds.
• Prepare maps using specialized computer hardware and software to include Global Information System (GIS) programs using various formats of latitude and longitude coordinates.
• Download and upload flight data to program computers and onboard precision guidance systems, and prepares daily flight records and required reports.
• Coordinate both ground and flight activities with program, aircraft, and equipment personnel to ensure that program objectives and schedules are accomplished.

The Medical Support Assistant (Advanced) works collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model and performs receptionist duties, customer service and other duties assigned for the proper and timely treatment of patients and maintains appointment schedules for one or more outpatient clinics.

The Medical Support Assistant (Advanced) is responsible for:

• assisting with clinic access contingency plans by adjusting appointment times, location, or dates as well as shifting patients to other healthcare providers as conflict with staffing and/or coverage occurs;

Clinical Duties:
1. Is directly involved in the design, implementation, and monitoring of therapeutic drug plans to achieve definite outcomes through direct interactions with patients and providers in assigned areas as a provider.
2. Incumbent is actively involved in reviewing patient medication regimens for clinical effectiveness, drug selection, dosing, contraindications, side effects, potential drug interactions, and therapeutic outcomes as required as a provider.
