We are looking for a talented, motivated and ambitious Senior IFR Nurse to join our friendly and innovative team.

This post will support the IFR teams to ensure processes are delivered in line with national and local priorities. Providing clinical expertise, support and advice in reviewing and making decisions regarding the funding of IFR’s and Prior Approvals against Clinical Commissioning Policies and national guidance.

Working within core office hours, the post will be based in one of our office sites, however, the post holder may be expected to undertake local, regional and national travel as the role requires to meet the needs of the service.

The post holder will also work across the Clinical Services Directorate to provide clinical advice and expertise to drive and support service developments across the CSU.

The post holder will work as part of the IFR teams and will be responsible for providing a high level of clinical expertise, support and advice to Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) in reviewing and making decisions regarding funding of IFRs, Prior Approvals and complex funding requests where applicable.

The post holder will work with Medicines Management teams and Public Health to clinically review funding requests to support the ICBs in their decision –making processes, including interpretation of NICE guidance or providing a clinical understanding of IFR and ICB clinical commissioning.

The post holder will provide both internal and external support for policy review and development. Acting as a key link to ensure that appropriate governance arrangements are followed.

Across the Clinical Services Directorate, the post holder will be responsible for providing a high level of expertise to help drive and support a variety of projects and audits, which will contribute to securing improvements to health and care services and clinical pathways.

The post holder will be required to participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services and initiatives to provide highly complex project, information, analytical advice and/or subject matter expertise as required.

Expert Clinical Practice Take professional responsibility as a first contact practitioner, with high-level decision-making and clinical-reasoning skills to assess, diagnose and triage patients. Electronically triage information received directly from patients via digital primary care platforms and determine the optimum pathway for management of that patients condition, including advice and self-care, MSK physiotherapy or and FCP appointment. Manage a complex caseload (including patients with long-term conditions, comorbidities and multi-factorial needs) across multiple healthcare settings. Gather and synthesise information, both virtually and in a face to face setting, on the nature of the individuals presenting symptoms taking account of how these relate to relevant past medical history and investigations. Critically appraise information obtained taking account of the potential for MSK symptoms to be features of non-MSK conditions, frailty, co-morbidities or indicative of potentially serious pathology with implementation of appropriate onwards referral. The nurse practitioner will offer direct access to patients with undifferentiated health problems. The post holder will be expected to carry out the following duties as a member of the Nursing Team: CLINICAL To work as a competent practitioner and role model in the provision of therapeutic care and treatment to the young people in the service and their families, under the direction of senior nurses, and consultant psychiatrists. The Health & Safety Manager will lead the development, implementation and management of all related policies and procedures, providing guidance and direction in relation to Quality, Compliance, Health & Safety and Environment issues and initiatives as well as assisting with tender documents as well as setting and managing the policy for shared work drives.

The key responsibilities for the Health & Safety Manager will be:

Leading the development, implementation and management of all compliance related policies and procedures.
Developing, maintaining and managing compliance related policies and procedures.
Providing expert guidance and direction in relation to quality, compliance and Health & Safety issues.
Reviewing and updating RAMS, risk assessments and method statements.
Ensuring compliance for Health, Safety and Quality Audits.

Reviewing, setting and managing the policy for a shared work drive including usage protocols.
Providing help and support to the office based and wider externally based teams.
Delivering Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Compliance training.

Assisting the Tender Teams with compliance and H&S.

To be considered as the Health & Safety Manager you will need:

A proven track record within Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Compliance and ideally from within a grounds maintenance, invasive species or landscape services company.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and the ability to be able to deal with an ever changing workload.
As a minimum a NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
