Beauty Merchandiser – Flexible

Updating and re-sequencing make up stands in major high street retailers, working with leading brands such as L’Oréal Paris, Nyx Professional Make Up, Max Factor, Rimmel and Maybelline.

Momentum Instore have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Beauty Merchandiser on a flexible basis, working 8-hour days Monday to Friday as and when we have projects (2025).

We have a busy 6 weeks from the start of January 2025 (schedules of work to be given in December) and are looking for key people in your location. Paid training days will take place in December and paid before Christmas.

Work throughout 2025 on a project-by-project basis.

Role and Responsibilities


Visiting retailers and updating the stand
Moving parts around and resequencing stock according to a new planogram
Changing over the visuals
Maintaining the stand, keeping it looking fresh for customers that visit the store
Travelling to your depot* for kit collection, which is paid time.


What will I get in return?


Training: Provided in full and you are paid – This will be in December and paid before Christmas
Work: Assignment basis, under own supervision



Travel: Regionally, 50 to 80 miles of your home
Location: Field Based – working in various high street retailers

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive hair and beauty lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
Develop individualised learning plans and adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
Provide hands-on instruction in hair cutting, styling, colouring, skincare, makeup application, and other beauty treatments.
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed during practical sessions.
Organise and supervise practical assessments and examinations.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in hairdressing, beauty therapy, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is desirable.
Experience working with SEN students is highly preferred.

What you’ll be doing

Working as our next Health Physics Monitor, your daily roles and responsibilities will include carrying out activities to support regulatory compliance primarily with the Ionising Radiations Regulations and Environmental Permitting Regulations.

The range of activities include, but are not limited to routine radiation and contamination surveys, radioactive source accountancy, radiation and contamination instrument first line repairs and calibrations, clearance monitoring, environmental monitoring, sampling and analysis of radioactive effluents, solid radioactive waste processing, on-job monitoring for Operations and Maintenance as required.

You will also be required to participate in the nuclear emergency scheme and will receive suitable remuneration for this.

Who you are

We’re looking for you to hold a basic understanding of legislation and company processes relevant to Radiological Protection. As a minimum as well, you will be qualified to GCSE level or higher within relevant fields including Mathematics and English and candidates with a C&G in Radiation Safety Stage 1 will have a distinct advantage. Additional qualifications supporting knowledge in a role like this would be desirable.

Previous experience of working within a Radiological Protection environment along with a strong understanding of radiation safety practice in the nuclear field would be desirable.

Provide prescribing service within sphere of competency to patients in primary care, as a pharmacist independent prescriber. This will include: Reviewing prescribing data for the practices to highlight areas where there is scope for improving the clinical effectiveness of prescribing. Advising GPs and other health professionals on cost effective prescribing and aiding rationalisation of drug choice via formulary/guideline/protocol development. To maintain knowledge of developments in pharmacy practice on a regular basis in line with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) CPD requirements To fulfil the professional requirements of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Good professional Practice of the GPhC The post holder will be responsible to the SHS Lead Pharmacist and Primary Care Network Clinical Director but will be expected to use their own initiative to make complex decisions within defined parameters with little supervision.
