Job Purpose: To provide dental care for priority groups in a variety of settings. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide a wide range of primary dental care for patients including children, people with disabilities, older people and those referred by general dental practitioners. Adhere to department and professional standards/protocols without direct supervision. Comment on department policies and propose changes to departmental working practices or procedures as necessary. Health Improvement Practitioners (HIP) are a key part of the local health improvement workforce, tackling health inequalities and supporting the agenda to increase life expectancy of the Bolton population.



HIPs are based within GP surgeries across the Borough and work alongside primary care colleagues.



This post will be expected to support and provide a comprehensive reporting function, developing support systems to enhance service efficiencies and support performance management. The role

will facilitate a robust evaluation function for the service, subsequently monitoring the outcomes and produce analytical reports as required.

An essential part of this remit is to work strategically across the local health & social care economy, collaborating and negotiating with public health, primary care and social care. This collaboration will ensure the service is meeting exacting standards of service delivery and there will be successful progression of ad hoc projects and pathways.



The role will require an effective planner with exceptional organisational skills. The post holder will work autonomously across a range of projects and across organisational boundaries to support a dynamic and progressive HIP Service.

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer (EHO) to join our busy Regulatory Services here at Bolton Council.

The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of regulatory duties as the generic EHO any new and emerging priorities will be your responsibility. This will have the potential to work across all areas of Regulatory Services which includes Trading Standard and Licensing in addition to the Environmental Health functions of food safety, health & safety and pollution. Any additional capacity will be spent on the wide range of either food hygiene/standards, health and safety and pollution duties including inspections and re-active work. The Mental Health Liaison Service is an ageless service, working with patients of all ages. The post holder will be expected to have some experience working with a wide variety of patient demographics, including children and older adults.

The post holder will be required to work 37.5 hours a week including shifts, weekends, bank holidays, and nights. This service operates over 7 days a week 24 hours per dayand so there will be times when the post holder will need to frequently work out of hours to operate the service and meet patient needs.



The post holder will be a member of the Mental Health Liaison Service in GMMH – Bolton Urgent Care Services and will provide support and assistance to the professionally qualified staff in the department. The post holder will support patients placed in the urgent care centre, this is a waiting area for patient to wait for a mental health assessment to be completed by the Liaison Practitioners.

Responsibilities will include direct nursing care, cleaning of the waiting area, and delegated duties from the shift coordinator.

Provision of secretarial duties and administrative support to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the Gynaecology Service. Typing of day-to-day correspondence on behalf of the Consultant/s and/or practitioner/s working in the department, ensuring that the departmental clinical correspondence targets are adhered to. Acting independently to prioritise work load. Exercise independent judgement and initiative when resolving problems. To ensure the timely production of an accurate clinical record of each patient episode using relevant IT systems and databases, including case note tracking and logging 18 week outcomes onto LE2.2 Minimising queries by ensuring letters are completed for each patient episode in a timely manner. Receive urgent dictation from Clinicians, where necessary via the Digital Dictation systems in use, and prepare the requested correspondence and, if applicable, email the information via the secure email systems.

To perform a range of administrative and reception tasks in order to support the practice's seamless operation and deliver quality receptionist service to patients, physicians, nurses, and other team members. Reception Duties: Greeting and receiving patients, caregivers, and visitors. Handle incoming inquiries. Effectively inform and assist patients with the registration process. Use the practice computer system to process patient appointment requests for today and future appointments. Keep the reception and waiting areas tidy.
