We are looking for enthusiastic, ‘can do’, motivated Band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner from a range of professional backgrounds to join us at our base at Wythenshawe Hospital site.

As one of the main mental health providers within Greater Manchester, we recognize the priority to achieve a parity between mental and physical health care and are committed to achieving this, enabled by our CORE 24 Liaison Mental Health services. Our services work at the interface between physical and mental health to bridge this gap. Our teams operate 24/7 to provide responsive mental health care in the acute hospital and A&E settings, delivered by experienced and established multidisciplinary teams.

As the successful candidate, you will be enthusiastic, flexible and committed to delivering high quality mental health care in the general hospital and A&E settings. You will bring with you a range of experiences and an established knowledgebase that will further enrich our teams and the service we provide. These personal attributes will enable you to provide comprehensive person-cantered assessments, advice, direct interventions and onward care planning to people of a range of ages, with different needs.

The post holder will be required to work as part of the 24-hour mental health liaison nurse team based at the North Manchester General Hospital site. The team is an Ageless Service. The post holder will be expected to co-ordinate and prioritise the day-to-day clinical workload relating to referrals received by the liaison nurse team.

A key role will be to undertake timely mental health assessments with service users presenting with mental health problems to the accident and emergency department and within the general hospital.

The post holder will be expected to be responsible for the assessment, management and care planning that will be appropriate, meet the needs of services users and manage risks identified during assessment. Assessments will be undertaken within and accident and emergency department and the general hospital.

We are seeking to appoint four Senior Clinical Fellow doctors at IMT3 level in General Internal Medicine, Medical Specialties Directorate. This post is suitable for doctors who have completed core medical training or are currently working as an IMT3 or Middle Grade. This post is a great opportunity to take that next step as a senior doctor, taking part on the Medical Registrar or IMT3 rota. The post is for 12 months but can be adjusted to suit personal circumstances. For example we are happy to consider extended unpaid leave for anyone wishing to combine professional and personal development or travel.

The post allows a wide range of experience in acute and subacute settings, both on assessment units and inpatient wards areas. The wide breadth of services available at Wythenshawe and Trafford Hospitals allows experience of specialised clinics that might otherwise be difficult to attend.

The respiratory directorate at Wythenshawe Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a semior clinical fellow whc will join an expert and highly motivated department providing world class respiratory care. Trainees will gain experience in general respiratory medicine as well as subspecialty areas such as Interstitial Lung disease and Sleep and Ventilation. The post holder will require knowledge of various software programmes to create, maintain and manipulate various complex information. An Exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the CT Biopsy team. You will need to be flexible, a team player and able to demonstrate a commitment to professional development and evidence based practice

You will be supporting a new 5 day a week biopsy service and will be responsible for assisting in CT and Ultrasound Biopsies. You will manage a team of nurses and healthcare support workers as part of your team ensuring patients are experiencing a high standard of care.
