As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will: Manage a caseload of residents with acquired communication and/or swallowing disorders, with support from your supervisor. - Ability to get on well with people at all levels and work effectively as a team member and sole worker . - To be responsible for working with colleagues and managers to provide a safe and welcoming environment for staff, patients and visitors - To support cross county provision of services. - Under guidance, deliver safe patient care within a challenging and changing clinical environment, using equipment and resources safely and as appropriate. - Discretion and understanding of confidentiality and data protection. - Undertake specific delegated tasks following the appropriate training and competency level e.g. patient observations. - To understand and adhere to all Trust policies and procedures. - To communicate effectively, especially where patient ability to do so is compromised. On occasions, the job holder may be exposed to distressing or emotional circumstances. - To act as a chaperone for patients attending clinic appointments. - To participate and contribute to team meetings/ discussions engaging with the team and participating in the ongoing development of the Outpatient Department.
